Yeah, so I got one of these things instead of an iPod (for now).
Problem:
When I plug my MP3 Player into the USB Port, everything works as normal. However, when I go to see what is in the MP3 player, I only see 5-10 files, no filename, no content.
Can someone tell me what's going on/how to solve it?
I can still charge the MP3 player & play the files that are already on it. I can't see the files/copy any new ones over when I plug it in.

Seriously...don't get an Ipod unless you are going to watch movies on them or your a complete retard and have 20K songs. I used to have a 64MB RCA which held 12-14 songs. I listened to specific bands then and now I'm a trance man so I got one with 1G. I don't see why anybody would want more than 1G. Everybody I see with thousands of songs on their Ipods pick and choose songs or just mash the skip button until they find something they like. My 20$ 1G is fine and if you are do actually enjoy listening to like 500 songs, get one with a card slot or a bigger one.
Ipods are simply very well marketed crap (taking into consideration the large price).

Get a better player. Thats always a good option and the final fix to any problems.

Well Christmas is around the corner, so ask away. If thats not your cup of tea, then get a job, buy a new player, take more responsibility with it. Don't leave nice expensive things in places they can easily get jacked.
