Moving on, FINAL ROUND. The final round is a game that I located called velocity, it is a fantastic game, that is just all out fun. The idea of the game is there are these strange little ball things, and disks, and shooting stars, that shoot across the screen and your job is too dodge them, the more you let hit you the more your score goes down.

GABGABO and RYANISADOUCHE, this is it, this is the final round of MarkHouseMD's Arcade Madness Tournament, the winner of this tournament wins the entire thing. You have exactly three days to comlete this round, and kcik the crap out of eachother, post constantly, I don't even care about double post, show eachother what your made of, and bring it.

Procedures
-This tournament will be in FFA format. There will be 8 Rounds, each lasting 3 Days

-Once the game is posted, you are to play the game and try to get the highest score/lowest time possible

-When you think you have a score you want to submit, take a screenshot of it and post it in the appropriate thread or send it via PM to me (MarkHouseMD) or EI_Tizzy. Here are the steps for taking a screenshot:
1. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. IF you're using a Mac, I believe the input is Command+Shift+3. The command button is the apple
2. Go into Paint (Start>Programs>Accessories) or another imaging program and hit Ctrl+V
3. Save the SS on your computer
4. Go to an image hosting site, such as Photobucket (www.photobucket.com), ImageShack (www.imageshack.com), or xs.to (my favorite; it saves picture info without you having to sign-up) and upload the SS.
5. Post the image in this thread or send it to either of us

-As always, you can submit as many SS's as you want, but we will accept the last one as your Round score. If it's accidentally worse than before, you better fix it fast!

-If, for some reason, two people are EXACLTY tied, and the Round ends, their scores will be wiped and they will get 1 extra day to submit another score. If they are tied again, both will advance by default.

-SPECIAL GOALS are also available for anyone who signed up in the tournament. Even if you're knocked out of the Rounds, you can STILL try and accomplish the Special Goals. The person(s) with the most SG's scomplished will be put into a random drawing for more prizes! Speaking of which...

Prizes
Ah, yes. The juicy underbelly of tournaments... the Prize Fund. EI_Tizzy and me will be starting off the prize fund with 37,000 Credits and 2 Real-life prizes, divided thusly:

Round 1 - Speed
Round 2 - Accuracy
Round 3 - Accuracy/Arrows
Round 4 - Endurance
Round 5 - Endurance
Round 6 - Timing/Reflex
Round 7 - Eye Coordination (no, not Hand/Eye)
Round 8 - Total Mental Meltdown

14 Hours to go!! Also, for those of you slightly doubtful of the validity of the arcade value of this game... you're kind of right. We DID realize that this game doesn't actually fit for this tournament.

HOWEVER, we promise that every game will (from now on) be completely retro... we're talking some of the best games from the 80's. Alright guys, Tizzy thought it would be a good idea to actually make the game litteral arcade games but from what i am starting to see here there is becoming a slight problem with that, so with deepest apologies i am going to change the round from Galaga to Curveball, which was suppose to be the orginal game in the first place, it's much more simple, but will also provide just the same amount of a challenge as well, i will earase all previous scores, and a new score will be posted when you repost. Thanks for the cooperation and sorry that this galaga game didn't work out, it was worth a try though.

2nd try... i hate this game. the one on ffrcade is much more fun, imo. then again, i'm awesome at that one... you can get a hole in one on 17/18 holes, and my best is 15/18 in 1 run.


Anyway... 6 holes in 1, 2 3s. rest 2s. score of 32. I could beat this, as I had at least 2 shots go straight over the hole on the 1st shot because I hit it too hard, and another 1-2 where I was a fraction off and missed. But I really don't want to, because I don't like this game.

Edit: I can get this to 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2* 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 final 21 strokes if I try hard enough (IE, I've gotten those scores on them individually but not collectively recently) the 2* is for the hole that is the very long and narrow S. On a version of the game with a larger window, so you can pull the mouse back further for more power, I've hole-in-one'd it, but the version you've assigned for this contest needs 2.

got 26 about 4 times... got 14 through 12 holes 3-4 times, each time screwing up the windmill level. FINALLY got past that, and wind up screwing up 17 and 18... and 14, but 14 is really really hard to get a 1 on.

20 is definitely my best possible score. Mandatory 2 on 8 and 17. I've holed every other hole.

1, 2, 3 are all 100% 1s. 4 is one of my hardest levels. 5 is about 25%, gotta get it just right. 6 is fairly consistently a 1. 7 is cake. 8 is an easy 2. 9 is cake. 10 is about 80%, 11 is about 50%. 12 is cake. 13 is.... the run killer... all or nothing on the windmill; either a 1 or then go around and get a 3. 14 is really really hard, only got a 1 on it once, most of the time I overpower it. 15 is easy, 95%. 16 is about 50-60%. 17 is mostly a 2... this run I didn't power it enough on the 2nd shot and it was left short. 18 is also rough for getting a 1, haven't really figured out the trick... it's kinda random when I get the 1, 2 is automatic though.... normally overpower it over the hole.

i've literally gotten 27 about 7 times in a row... 6 of those times with 14 strokes through 12 holes, once with 13/12... managed to get all the way to 16 strokes through 14 holes.

i can get all but 4 and 8 in 1 literally every single time now. 4 is like 10%. 14 is about 50%. 15 is about 75%. 16 is about 50%. 17 has gotten harder somehow, and now is only a 2 about 30% of the time. 18 is about 20%.

i should have gotten a 22 at least 3-4 times by now, but i keep screwing up 14-18. i'm getting pissed.

an 18 is definitely possible. it just isn't easy. and requires thinking outside of the box.

Tasselfoot: I've found out some nifty reference points for every single hole, and every single hole is 1-hole-able every single time (I use your reference trick for Hole 6, for example). 8 and 17 are hard but you can actually reason out a good solution and then fine-tune it from there until you get a play that works, and then just memorize how and where you do it.

Maybe I'll do a screen recording of a perfect 18 play? Would anyone be interested in this?
