I think it's a good idea I came up with.I can never decide what songs to pick so I thought I'd make the players pick. What do you all think about it ? It will possibly force some players to whore a song more than they expected to.

You're in a situation where you'd blast the hard division and give expert a decent run. Those are the main reasons why you are in expert right now. I've also watched you in CR's tourney and you were right up there with the good players :)

I think that v0lcom's placement should really be reconsidered. He's FC'd over 200 songs and has an average rank under 400. I think he'd do fine in hard. =\

I was thinking the same. Right now I want at least 16 medium players so I need him there for now, If there are newer players that come he will be moved.

Also, I came up with a tweak to my special rule to avoid a person AAA'ing the song he picked and sending it first in and get the 1st seed over and over.

There is a special rule to this tourney, what is it?
*The following only applies once the elimination tourney rounds start*

Once the elimination round starts, your rank seed will be important. Of the two who are up against eachother, the person who had a best score in the previous song will get to choose what song they play. The only restriction to this is that I will give you a difficulty to pick your song within. This will make it important to try and get the best score among remaining players even though you are not against them.In the case where more than one person would get the highest score, he or she that submitted their high score in first will get the higher seed. Please note that a player will not be allowed to get the highest seed twice in a row. Also, I will be picking the qualifying round songs, tiebreaker songs as well as the Championship Match songs, the rest is picked by players.

It's the same for you, me or Remedy and others. We are all at a level where we are either going to do well in the lowest division or be one of the worsts in another. I think you belong in hard though and if you try really hard you will have a decent tourney.

Okay. I assume you understand the basic rule of highest seed of the round will pick the next round's song.

Let's say you all play Nova Pulser and MrZombie is the only one to AAA it. He will have the option to choose any song of the difficulty I tell him for his division to play in the following round. However, If he picks a song he can AAA and submits it right away, that would grant him a second high seed and pick again and so on. I want to avoid that, so in the case where MrZombie would get the highest rank for a second song in a row, the 2nd highest seed would pick the next song. This will also give the chance to other players of picking songs. Details on the seeding will be given out after every round in the division reports that you can spot at the top of the first post, so don't worry about it.

Edit: I am also thinking of wiping off the "I choose the championship song" just to make things even more exciting.

btw, average rank really means nothing, actually, both ranks mean nothing, tier points are what counts, amount of AAA's also means nothing, so you shouldn't base people off of that, ex.

My tier points are 69 total (lol), none of which are from AAA's, because I refuse to play songs below challenging difficulty as they are way to easy and boring for me, some of my best scores and ranks are:

2 goods on GB3
6 goods on Ruins
32 goods on TGWP Part 3
33 goods on TGWP Part 5
27 (34) goods on Nova Pulser
53 goods on Silence
52 goods on Sympathizer
48 goods on End Night
97 goods on Tukish March (not recorded in tier points but in overall scores if you look, rank 83, gay)
88 goods on Vertex Beta (my internet died when I finished so it's not up there)
and I've FC'd about every song that's gives 2 tier points for FC's

Average Rank:

Because I have to help my Mom a lot, when I have to get off in the middle of a song, or if I miss an arrow, I auto kill, every game I play I set the auto kill for 1 miss, unless it's master's or guru's song which is too hard, and I generally kill myself if I know that I have a worse score than I could get, so my average rank is generally terrible, and right now I've been playing on my craptastic Vista computer, which is the worst computer ever for FFR, so my average ranks sucks even more, even though I have much more skill

General Rank:

You can play forever and get crappy scores and just play too much and get up in ranks, like Lump, but no he's better

AAA's:

I don't have many AAA's because I really don't bother, if I wanted I could easily AAA every song below very difficult difficulty, but I don't waste my time playing easier songs, and challenging or higher songs are hard to AAA, I SDG them all the time, but AAA'ing is hard

FC's:

I've FC'd some of the hardest songs in the game, but the majority of songs are below challenging difficulty, therefore I have low FC's

I wanna AAA Endless Dream so badly, I want it to be my first Challenging AAA. First AAA on a tier point song. And Playdoh surprised me, cause my previous best was 22 goods. HUGE rank jump. But I was playing on vacation and it didn't record any of my scores so I guess I got practice there lol. And that was my first FC on Carol Megamix so I was happy again. And I finally got GB2 and almost FC'd first try lol.

I agree with Zombie on this one, Frenzy. I personally would not permit Anar to join in this tournament solely because of the fact that he created his account today and has few gameplays. It is more than likely someone's alt.

I am pretty skeptical of ArvinG, seeing his low post count and that he has been a member for over three years. He could just be inactive on the forums, but he hasn't played mp for awhile either. My guess is that he is someone's old account.

QUESTION FOR EVERYONE

I'm trying to decide on this one rule before the tourney starts concerning the Seeding but I need opinions on this. Here's the deal :

Normally, after the qualification rounds, the first "Seed" would be used for the whole tourney, but I'm thinking of re-seeding everyone after each round. Let me explain with an example

Round 1: Normally, it would start like this:

MrZombie(1) - 4 goods
vs
FRO(8) - 10 goods

n0vajin(2) - 1 good
vs
dAnceguy117(7) - AAA

HammyMcSquirrel(3) - 2 goods
vs
x_dragun_x(6) - 20 goods

CR_flip_Foam(4) - 4 goods
vs
AOD_Element(5) - 21 goods


Round 2: Technically Round 2 should be this:(danceguy picks since he got seed 1 with AAA).

MrZombie(1)
vs
dAnceguy117(7)

HammyMcSquirrel(3)
vs
CR_fLiP_fOaM(4)

BUT,with my rule I'm trying to implement, since dAnceguy117 got the AAA, he would be the new "#1" and take Zombie's place and everyone else would be seeded like this:(still danceguy picking song).

HammyMcSquirrel(2)
vs
MrZombie(3)


Now, you are all wondering: "Hey,Zombie and CR got the same score, why was CR 4th and Zombie 3rd?"

The answer is quite simple. Assuming Zombie submitted his score in before flip, he gets the upperhand in case of a seed tiebreaker.

But we're talking about how seeding for the first round shouldn't be based off the entry of when they join. Because hypothetically, the last person to join (32nd seed), could be the best.
