everyone says screen shrinking helps you alot how do you do it and how far do you shrink it.

You unmaximize the screen and scroll it so you only see about the top half of the screen or so. Not everyone does their best at the exact same amount, experiment with it to see where you play best at.

My best is cutting right through the middle of where the perfects show up, any farther up and my reaction time usually isn't fast enough. It helps by allowing you to concentrate on less arrows at a time.

I like to be able to see my accuracy, so I shrink to the bottom the the 'Perfect'. Whatever works, I guess. At least we'll have speedmods soon.

Screen shrinking helps me because it decreases the timing window, making it easier for people with faster reaction timing. This is my screencut, but experiment and try to find what's best for you.

I screen shrink up to about the number of my combo.

But do a search first =p

That looks like about where Tass cuts his, although I doubt Shadow Hunter is in his league. I remember Drugstore and Tass commenting at the con, "who needs to see their combo?"

I don't screencut, but I think I could benefit from trying it.

Holy God are you serious?

I think most beginning screen shrinkers start out small, and cut more as they gain more skill. I did =/

I find it funny how the people here know NOTHING about my SM history. Ask Dynam0, I'm not a newb. That's a good SC for me because the arrows in FFR go REALLY slow. So slow that I need to cut so much I can react instantaneously.

taht exaactly where i sc....but in videos of really good ppl its like shadow's. and i think that where u sc depends on the deificulty..like more for standards and less for very challengings

I SC the same for every difficulty, lol. I can read the notes well, and I'm fast. It's just that I can't PA well for some reason. Time to move to J6 on SM. :(

Speedmods are HARD. Screencutting is EZ. lol

Yeah, I'm just jealous of those who greatly benefit from them.

Screencutting may improve my PA, but I tend to break my combos more often, so I tend to keep the full screen. Speed mods will help.

P.S. Wish me luck, trying to get my mom to support FFR :-)

Red lines are where you can screenshrink to (or at least, that's where I shrink to anyway). Screenshrink makes it so your brain can focus on the more important stuff, like the incoming notes.
