Interesting story:
I submitted this a LONG time ago (as in, right after Rose) but it was rejected for having too many 32nds. I had stepped most of the 32nd rolls, but not all of them, but it was clearly too much for Shashelfoot.
I submitted it again after taking out some, but not all, of the 32nds. It was rejected again.
Next, I submitted a harder file (I stepped every single 32nd) just to be an ass, and of course it was rejected again.
Finally, I dumbed it down, removing ALL of the 32nds. It was finally accepted.

Then, when Tass went to put it in the game, he must have gotten the files mixed up, becuase this is NOT the version that got accpeted!
This version is actually my third version, the one I submitted with extra 32nds just for fun.

Turns out, it's pretty good.

WHICH GOES TO SHOW:
1. Judges can be wrong
2. The staff screws up sometimes, and..
3. Mistakes can be good :)

Very nice file, except that I haven't seen past note 500 or so because I can't PFC past the rolls (argh I can't stand 32nd rolls). Lol.

Lol the 32nds are what make the file awesome.

No, the subscribers voted to keep the harder version. There was no error. They (Shashelfoot) realized that 32nd rolls are not as hard in FFR than in SM, so they didn't mind the more overstepped version.

That aside, really good song and good steps.

Good song, good steps...a little overstepped in some areas though.

I stand corrected.

Still a cool story :)

EDIT- Yes, I know this is overstepped and overjumped. This IS like my second file after {Rose}...

AAA'd today.
Already had it for like 3 weeks or so.
I actually also enjoy the 32nds.
You just have to be quick with the eye ;)

It was pretty cool...nice to have a "different" file in FFR =P

In other news, we should get a Sotw subforum to fit the current subforum making trend.

I like this song. :/

The steps kind of annoy me, but, well, I played it when I was really tired.. I'll probably try again later.

omg ily hi19.

I don't know...pretty good file...but the song and the steps just seem off to me when I'm playing...guess party cause its overstepped, partly cause of my lack of skill...but not a personal favorite...but I won't say that its a bad file either.

A good song... Kinda hard considering at my level.

what happened is that this version AND the non-32nd version were in the same .dwi.... but i didn't remember which version was the one we accepted.

so i just took the harder one and added it. and then let the subscribers vote on whether to keep it or to remove all the 32nds.

Another "funny" story.

Not only were the steps the wrong file, but this isn't even the right song either!

Some long time ago when I first started submitting stuff for FFR, I submitted a poor quality song: Divinity. hi19hi19 graciously offered to step it, he did, and I heard it was immediately rejected. I had been planning to remaster it, but when I heard it wasn't getting in, I held off for a while, because there was no point in fixing it.

Then one day, I come onto FFR, and find out that Divinity is released for subscribers. I see this, and just say "wtf!!" to myself. So I send an e-mail to Tass saying I need to fix the song before it's released to the public, because the quality and mixing is pretty poorly done.

He told me I had three weeks. Three weeks later, I thought only two weeks had passed. So I only finished remastering it today, thinking that Divinity wasn't yet out for the public. But... apparently, I was wrong. It was three weeks, and already it's playable by everyone. :/

I've sent Tass a PM, and am hoping to replace the track with the remastered version. Hopefully it's not too late. :\

Thanks for the support everyone! Check out Diamond Heart (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=625477&songID=5178657), my newest (and upcoming) song for FFR!

It's a nice file, but i need to spend more time with it. The 32nds definitely make it a bit of a challenge.

Hmm, dayum. Apparently Tass isn't wanting to accept the remastered Divinity...

The one in the game right now is good enough.
