Remember that on older songs that system doesn't exactly apply.

Oh really? I knew the color note system from the SM Song-creator deal, but I didnt know it was applied to ffr also, thats pretty cool.

I honestly thought it was just there for cool effect.^^

4ths are blue? Are you serious? I thought blue was 8ths, to match SM.

I did too, but it's not like it matters. One is on the downbeat the other is on the upbeat... So they're semi-interchangable.

No, Doug made a minor mistake lol. Blues are 8ths and reds are 4ths. Everything else is correct, though.

Speaking of which, can we change the arrows colors of some songs so that they correspond to the song? like CIA RAVE v1

Doug31

No, old songs like that will not be changed. This has been asked many times, and it's just not going to happen.

Edit: and 4ths really are blue.

Um, no. 4ths are red and 8ths are blue.
On some songs this isn't the case, but almost all songs that are skinned are skinned like that.

EDIT: The only way you can suggest that the 4ths are blue is if you think that red is for half notes in a 2/2 time signature.

LOL all this argument over 4th being Red or Blue...so funny, anywho, while we're talking about things not being changed, why don't they get rid of the dancing blocks in songs like Breaking the Common, and that bright green SGX logo. To me they make the arrows hard to see :X.

.......newbie to extreme here......ahhh.

so why have diffrent notes?
harder to hit?
or just for color?

dont get what the point is, cause on some "mashed" songs like one minute waltz later in the song there all mashed together (even more) so shouldnt those be dif. colors?

blindreper1179

they should. but it's an old song which, as you may notice there's alot of them. no one may change the look or sync or anything for those. synth likes his old school files.

Uhh----
Euthanasia

Used to turn all red in the stream section, but now you can see the purple, pink and teal notes cuz they changed it sometime after the ranking change...

Umm different colors so you know a little ahead of time that they don't follow some sort of other beat that is in the rest of the song...

Like euthanasia-- refer to my last post

Just because Euthanasia was changed doesn't mean they're gonna color every song.

Anyway, this thread is basically over; the question was answered.

So how do you use the colors to help you besides just give you an idea that its on a different beat...or is that it?

You'll get used to what timing and speed different colourd arrows go at. That gives you an advantage with split second reaction speed.

bumped.

the colors only help me by hitting the arrows with less distraction. if they're all the same color, it may mess me up.
