pixel art? at www.itmorr.com, i have a whiteboard with some pretty amazing stuff on it. groupboard is pretty similar to paint. go there and click the load button on the applet to see some of the stuff people have made. they get pretty detailed.

pretty good face, but I suggest giving the neck more definition, and possibly more detail. Good job overall, though. With Fox, the blank spots of white could be blended in a little better, but the overall structure is great, all but a few minor details people like me tend to point out.

-No color sampling from other images done (dropper)
-Just used a screenshot for reference
-Gaps are accurate vertically between arrows in relation to each other (8th=15pixels, 24th=5pixels etc...)
-I did not make the centers of the arrows transparent so please don't bash for that
-220,000 pixels (550x400)
-5hr 24min
-edit: it took 1-1.5hrs to design the arrow itself and about 10 minutes per color scheme

There really was hardly any difference from using a mouse. It's not like I could use brush strokes like I would with photoshop. The spraypaint tool would have been just as effective using just a mouse. :P

I started doing pixel art a long time ago, when I first got on the internets. I got really in to "dolling" ( adding hair/clothes to a pixel base ) I don't do it a lot now, but sometimes when I play on another game I do "portraits" that are pixel art. :3 I do them all through paint with no special brushes! The color pallette is limited, which is why some DO look more pixelated that others. The choppier ones recolor within the game.

I had a little pixel dump that I was going to toss on here too (furniture and such), but paint saved it as a .GIF and ruined the quality, and I'm too lazy to remake it. *shrugs*

Damn, I never could get that good at pixel art. I just got into just shading things, but daamn that has dimension, shading and everything. I might not have even easily pulled that off with photoshop. o_o;
