Can too much weed make you puke?

Jake and I were arguing about this just now. I told him that you can puke if you smoke a whole lot at once (same way you can puke if you drink a whole lot at once), but he insists that such a thing would only happen if it was inhaled wrong (said maybe if somebody swallowed some of it and it got in their stomach and irritated it). I think he's just being dumb.

So I figured I'd post this topic for 2 reasons. 1) To find out from you guys if it's possible and 2) if it IS possible, to spread awareness of this so people won't smoke too much at one time.

But yeah, so far, from searching on Google some, it seems people say they've puked after smoking too much, but why trust random people on random forums when I can ask you guys? =D

The first few times one of my friend's smoked pot he threw up. But he's the only one I know of and probably only because it was his first time.

Yes it is possible. Because of the disorientation you sometimes feel, just doesn't let your brain and stomache cooperate..but yeah deffiniatly possible.

I've never heard of anyone puking from smoking too much unless there is also a lot of alcohol or tobacco in their system.

However, I have almost passed out from smoking too much due to a lack of oxygen. The best thing to do if you aren't feeling good when you are high is just to take deep breaths until the feeling passes and to remind yourself that you are in an altered state of mind and that you need to clear your mind of negative thoughts.

I had a friend who smoked to much weed before school and during a class he got up and ran out in the hallway and puked...it was pink so it wasn't looking to good...so he went home for a day. So yes you can puke.

Two things here I've experienced:

#1: Don't take too big of a hit. It'll make you cough like crazy, and by the time I was done coughing I had thrown up a little. And for a long time after I took the hit that was way too big, I could just feel it in my throat and it felt like ****. Really best to not try to go all out.

#2: Another time, my eyes just couldn't focus. I had really bad motion sickness and I wasn't even moving. That could easily cause vomitting as well, but when that happened, I just put my head down and tried to relax a bit and it eventually passed.

weed itself does not make you throw up, at least not directly. the disorientation and other effects, desired or unintentional, can cause sickness, drowsiness, mood swings and horniness [haha]. i kept that pretty intellectual until i said horny. hahaha sex

in normal circumstances, marijuana supresses your gag reflex. so in those normal circumstances, you wouldn't puke.

i've been around people who have had a ton to drink but also smoked a few bowls... and they fellt terrible. wanted to puke the alcohol up so badly, but couldn't because of the pot.

but as has been established, there are definately ways in which it can make you puke.

Swallowing the smoke instead of inhaling is a big no-no, that can cause you to puke. Over eating can cause you to puke. I don't think just smoking it alone can make you puke though, most of the instances where people have puked from smoking weed is because they did something else like drank or ate something that doesn't agree with their stomach at the time. Though, smoking incredibly large amounts at a time will have some negative affect on you, maybe puking. It is possible and I have come near but I myself have never puked from weed.

It is very easy to pass out from weed Tonberry. Inhaling any kind of smoke deprives your system of good ol' oxygen. It's like suffocating yourself for short instances. Depending whether or not you consider burning out as passing out it could be said that smoking weed always makes you pass out if you smoke enough.

Especially without the filters, a joint is harder on your lungs than a cigarette. Well, you're not going to do nearly as much damage to your lungs as the average smoker unless you smoke an insane amount of joints a day (7-10, I'd guess), of course. Ironically, the THC inside marijuana helps reduce lung cancer.

Amazing, it's not an unreasonable hypothesis that because of the cannabinoids' actions on many areas governing the possible growth of lung cancer, cannabis might actually decrease chances of lung cancer.

Also, people here are not idiots, we're aware that any combustion involving carbon-based substances causes carcinogens to be released... The amazing part here is that the cannabinoids might inhibit the actions of them.

So please shut up and understand what science says before your own head-in-ass opinion escapes your mouth.
