Is this happening to anyone else. I've gotten 2 new top scores today that HAVE recorded and are correctly placed in the top 200. They also appear correctly on my Tier point stats, but have not updated in my profile or in the levelrank. My profile says my last game played was 2 hours ago, but I have played many in between and up to 10 mins ago. They usually/used to update instantly. Does this have to do with the new video feature? Temporary issue? Problem on my end? Happening to others?
Answers by someone reputable are appreciated.

how did you keep time?

Well part of it is just staying at a consistent rate, which doesn't completely work because there's the occasional 5-framer and if you go consistently at, say, late perf on a 4-framer, 5-framer comes, late perf is the middle perf on the 5-framer and the early perf on the following 4-framers, another 5-framer comes and you start getting goods, and so on.

So basically, play 1.5x on it if you aren't already. Big help in finding the 5-framers.

The other aspect is to kind of go from each different pattern specifically.

Example:

You're hitting a bunch of 4-6 jumps, and near the end, you're on the early perf. The pattern changes to 8-6 jumps, so try to instill a very small pace-break, and try to get onto the late perf for the start of the next pattern. Repeat as necessary.

This also didn't really help me for the alternating jumps and anything past because I just ended up 0-1-1-1'ing the end.

But yeah, kind of take that into account while you play, and if you sort of do it already, then just keep trying, because as you know, it took me like 1500 tries to do. :O

i always play x1.5, specifically so that i can see them, like you've stated, but i really suck at aiming to hit early perfect, i'll always get a random good here or there

i've pfc'ed past the alternating jumps before, only to smash my keyboard after getting bull**** goods on the first down jack after the last jumps because of the framer switch

it's really frustrating, as you already know

I imagine most people that play ffr that get AAA's don't have a consistent pace. I can tell when i'm hitting early and need to hit a little later. No one has really talked about it that much though. It's kewl someone brought it up.

Actually I've been bringing it up for a while now. AIM Anthem is actually a lot easier than people make it out to be. The trick is breaking up the song into sections, where the 5-framers break up each section. I also recommend playing with the music off, because then each section has its own keyboard-rhythm and it becomes much easier to split the song up.

The reason why this song is harder than it seems is because the music throws off so many people because the splits are hard to "justify" to the music. If you just imagine a different song with more logical breaks at the 5-framers, it becomes a lot more manageable. Also, of course, try to begin each section in the early-perfect window (ie. treat it like you're trying to PA a three-frame jack and just keep a consistent pace per section)

When I am going for PA I rarely rarely rarely turn the music on. Better to normalize the environment so you don't learn mistakes due to musical influence (which, on a game like FFR, is huge considering there are so few frames of action to squeeze in stepcharts for songs that would be more accurate if we had more frames)
