forum suggestion

I suggest you put an "announcements & News" forum in a seperate category at the top of the forum, that way people can see and talk about news and announcements. I know there is news on the main page but I think this would still be an asset to the forum. Of course, only synthlight could start new topics (or other highly ranked people) but everyone could post in the already made topics.

I think, not enough people would be intrested in this, considering how big the forums are. But it certanly is different, and sometimes different is good, but we will see.

Right now all we have are the comments which I don't think many people read :/

I suggested this to Synth a few months ago. His main reason was the fact that announcements should only go in one place, for convienience.

Well its not like you cant add a fairly simple modification that will automatically post all news in the forum AND on the front page.

Well, I don't think it's a bad idea, but it has already been suggested before. It might be done, but I don't think anyone will have any interest in it.
