It's my computer. FFR lags for me. I've never doubted your ffr scores for a few reasons, one being the simple fact that I was pretty sure I could do them too if I was playing on a pc that ran ffr properly (and by the looks of your videos it runs very smoothly).

It tends to help on songs you've played a lot but still have stumbling blocks on (i.e. certain parts you tend to mess up for no real logical reason).

I'd say there are two reasons why.


For the first, my assumption would be that these sections are hard to improve normally because of bad habit. You develop a memory of stepfiles naturally as you play them, and sometimes mistakes and problems with certain patterns stick with you. The easiest way to get around it is to reverse it so your brain has to read the patterns freshly rather than just from memory...all while having the advantage of knowing the song well.

Secondly, occasionally it has nothing to do with memory or habit and it's simply easier because the mirrored patterns are easier to hit. This is most common when there are jackhammers or trills on your bad hands side.

it changes the bias of the notes... many songs have really hard left-hand biased patterns... mirroring makes them right-hand biased. and most people are right-handed.

at least, that is my notion of why people use mirror. i don't play SM, and if i did, i wouldn't bother mirroring or shuffling or whatever. play the file how it was created.

btw i use C700 on sm and 1x on ffr with like 50% of the screen cut off which is supposedly ~C600 so no, it probably won't mess your timing up.

btw, SM is not a "innocent until proven guilty" kind of thing. It's more of a "innocent until posting questionable score without a plausible explanation and/or posting just a very questionable score" kind of thing.

If you really want to prove yourself, post a good video with nice keytaps, able to hear the sound enough that we can tell if the timing of your keytaps are on or off. *

Put a tv or at least a background clock or whatever to prove no slowdown, launch the game from the folder also showing the .ini. and when you're done do what ieat did... show judgement and life, then open up that .ini and enlarge it on word so everyone can actually really see your settings.

If you have enough speed and control to full combo Disregard, there is no reason whatsoever that you should get almost a 2:1 ratio of perfects to greats. When you're to the point that you can combo 300 bpm 16th stream while getting only 8% perfects, greats should come only occasionally, not once for every two perfects that you get.

All other players who have done well on Disregard have gotten P:G ratios like 14:1, 7:1, 6:1, and none of them have combo'd it.

As I understood it, that's the way it is, he gets greats occasionally. The reason for the high amount of them is because he has to hit the trills slightly early (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/showpost.php?p=1767844&postcount=10913).
I'm pretty sure that Rubix would get a good PA ratio if he didn't do that, but on the other hand he'd miss and be like the other good players.

Assuming a consistently difficult song -- Disregard has many sections of varying difficulties. Just because it's a 2:1 ratio means very little -- plenty of people have scores in similar ranges for songs of equally varying difficulties, comparatively, I'm sure.

My fingers slip sometimes, I'm not God, you know. Just because I get a miss on an easier song means nothing, and a 19-1 on UGS oni isn't a huge deal anyway. Sometimes I miscalculate rolls, it's not a big deal. I'd say my scores are arguably consistent, especially when Happy Angel, Z, Air, and Ageha are all much easier. And 0x is easy to improve if you approach songs differently. I have to almost angle my hands vertically to improve on such songs.

Sometimes it ensures higher degree of success with respect to comboing. If you start early then the speed of the arrows "catch up." I could probably PA them a bit better with some practice.

Yes, I can look at it from that perspective. It would be extremely frustrating; I would just leave. But the way you're doing it, it's not looking too convincing when you ignore people's advice/objections. That last statement by you is pretty misleading, honestly, because everyone knows that kind of score would be astronomically unlikely. You wouldn't be stupid enough to try and pass that by the community. It's much more likely that you'd get scores like this and slowly build up to scores like AAA'ing disregard, etc.

I'm getting to that point where I am about to leave, too. I'm not ignoring any objections or accusations either, please tell me where I have done so. The thing is, it's an impossible argument because no matter what people will devise ways to insist you're cheating even when you're not. I'm honestly kinda fed up with it and I don't really know why I'm arguing in the first place, haha. Not like I need a community to enjoy the game. I don't care what's true for most players or what you get on a song or what person A gets, etc, this is what *I* get due to *my* playing styles. Yeah, sometimes I get a random miss. Sometimes I do better with different hand angles. Sometimes different keyboards make the difference. People seem to disregard those factors and simply insist something's impossible, to which I provide video evidence that gets promptly dismissed for no reason whatsoever.
