Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha was an anime series that aired back in autumn of 2004. Although it started out as an awkward clone of Card Captor Sakura, by the midpoint of the series it had morphed into an awesome, hotblooded fighting magical girl show with explosion laden aerial dogfights. By the end of it, the series had become one of the best magical girl shows ever made.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's is the sequel to that show, and is currently airing in Japan (a sub for the first episode was released earlier today). The first episode was insanely awesome, blowing away all of my expectations, and I fully expect that the rest of the season will be just good, if not better than it.

So if you are one of the three people who watched the first season (hi Squeek), then go get this now. If not, then go watch the first season immediately. Fate commands it.

Ironically, I broke down and watched the raw last night, less than 12 hours before the sub came out >_>

But the episode is so awesome that I am about to watch it again (subbed) anyway.

Also, although the first season starts off as the same sort of show as CCS and other typical magical girl stuff, it soon becomes very very different - at this point it is closer to DBZ than CCS. Imagine taking all the big burly men out of DBZ and replacing them with prepubescent girls, and you have got this show.

Man, that sounds so wrong XD. Go watch this anyway, because it is awesome awesome awesome.

Oh, and if you can't deal with torrents (which, in their three or so years of common popularity have yet to be bested in ease of use and reliability by any other means of file sharing) then I suggest you give up on downloading anime altogether.

Five is going to be the most amazing episode ever.

Which of course means that a sub for it will be released in a month or so >_>
