My created step files won't save, why?!

I've made 3 songs in Stepmania CVS.... but none of them save. All of them have Heavy level steps, and one has Challenge steps. The 2 with only Heavy steps just default to a score of 0 and a grade of C everytime the game loads. The one with Heavy and Challenge steps defaults to 0 score and a grade of B on Heavy and no score or grade on Challenge.

I don't understand why they won't save, any help would be great.

I've had that problem once because I quit with ALT-F4. Make sure you're quitting StepMania through the menu, because ALT-F4 and the close button basically kill it dead in its tracks.

If you do quit through the menu then I'm stumped. :)

o_O I've actually had sort of the same problem every now and then. My Stepmania just wants to randomly delete hard earned scores that i had to take quite a bit of time on. Let me know if you happen to have the same problem i do.

I always quit through the main menu of the game, so I know it isn't that.

No, Spazz, that isn't like my problem at all....

I have, however, discovered a pattern. Both the songs that default to C are 9 feet, and the one that defaults to B is 10. I just made new steps to a 7 foot song, and it now defaults to E... so it's defaulting by foot rating to an extent..... 7 - E, 8 - D, 9 - C, 10 - B...... Does this help at all?

What do you mean? Like take the DWI and SM out of the folders, delete the folders, load Stepmania, quit, then remake the folders and put the song and DWI+SM in?

Where do I press 's'? I tried at the step editing screen, and it didn't seem to do anything.
