I'm pretty sure there are difficulty settins shown. Instead of feet there are little arrow like things.. At least I think that's what those are...

Well, there's only 16 days until next year. Could be worse :P
I'm sure he'll be around soon. The man's gotta run his own business, take care of his family, run the many sites he does and sometimes he even needs sleep.
Cheers...

No feet icons. I would rather have an original idea.
Be a little more understanding numbr1plya, I bust my ass working on this project every free moment that I have. My free time is limited as it is and I do my best. I won't bore you with my list of responsibilities.

Yeah, the whole FFR program is supposed to be as original as it can be. I'd say using a meter, or even a thermometer for the difficulty. The lower difficulty songs could be on the low end of the thermometer and the higher difficulty songs could be on the high end of the thermometer. HOT! HOT! HOT!

...so does that mean your not going to add some real ddr songs?

Um...probably not. DDR songs are owned by either Konami or Toshiba (off of the Dancemania albums) not to mention each artist's specific recording label. The royalties would astounding and putting them up without the permission would lead to a legal liability I'm sure Synthlight wants to avoid. I like it better without the DDR songs because, well, if I wanted to play those songs I'd go and play DDR. I like the originality of the FFR project and hope it stays that way for a long time.

I love all the video games songs and i mostly play them!!!
im not a fan of hip hop and dance but i like classical and the video game songs. Im looking forward to rock but im not impatient
I program c++ and my sister uses action script and flash, i think you will find if tyou try to use this a game like ffr would take years of work!!! i think you should not complain about what is given to you.
Also i played ddr yesterday when i needed my arcade fix :p In the arcade i AA'd Dam Dariram and AA'd Do it All Night
I FAILED paranoia rebirth
If i wanna play real songs ill play the game BUT FFR is different to ddr. It is more about accuracy than dancing and it has actuially helped me improve my ddr :P

If anybody can actually remember the DDR announcer saying HOT! HOT! HOT! they get a cookie.
I don't even know if Synth took that idea or not. I kinda gave him various ideas for this aspect.

That reminds me.........
I know this is a little off subject, but.....
My freind once did REALLYREALLYREALLY well on a song in DDR, and the announcer dude was like: "Oh, my god! You're so good, I'm crying! All these tears...." -- or something along those lines...
The announcer sounded as if he was fake-crying while he said it.
It was whacked out.
And the announcer sounded very un-Japanese. Very, VERY un-japanese.
Odd....... :?:

Great idea nestlekwik! And for the REALLY hard songs, higher than HOT HOT HOT, there could be a little fire at the top of the thermometer. Or MAYBE have custom difficulty signs for each genre! Like microphones for hip hop, guitars for rock etc. etc.

That's the MAX announcer for you. You can even get a C or B and he'll do the crying bit.
