A would probably be worse, because a teacher bad enough to burn your textbooks would get fired and, well... nothing that happens will be at your expense. Unless the teacher burned the textbooks while you were reading them.

I think option two is worse. You'd still have food with option one and I think i'd run and hide as much as I possibly could from the crazed rapists, but if I happend to get caught, I'd try enjoying whatever they did to me and just deal with it.
