Is the arrow keys THE only way how to play in this game??

and i'm quite used to the controller pad of PS2 so yeah

Be patient. I'm not sure, but I don't think the arrow keys are the only way to play. I've played against people using thier feet or so they've said.

also...when i play, the game freezes in the middle while playing, (maybe my computer is to blame..) anyone plz help me

You can change the layout of the keys, but not with FFR. I'm not sure what, but someone can tell you I'm sure. As for the freezing in the middle of playing, my sister's computer does that. It's just a lag in the connection. Depending on how bad, it can freeze the computer itself.

I know there's a connector you can buy that hooks up your Ps2 controller to the computer. Something like this (http://www.jandaman.com/thestore/prods/psxusb5.html). I have something similar, but I don't know what it's called (not this same one). It lets you link your pad to Stepmania, but I'm not sure if it lets you hook up to FFR.

And as for alternate ways to play... you can actually play with the mouse, if you really want.
