Play format - Arrow directions

Whenever I change my arrow direction from 'up' to 'X' style (the rightmost option from the top) and start a song, none of the arrows seem to work. I always miss. :shock: Am I just pushing the wrong arrow keys or is there something wrong with the game?

There's a good chance you are hitting the wrong notes.

The notes are wrote differently, and therefore, harder to follow. They are:
Down, Up-----------------------------------Left, Right

The difficult part isn't knowing the beat, or the arrows, but trying not to get confused by the direction of the arrows.
