OK, this picture is not freehand (I found it in the instruction booklet, looked at it and drew it), BUT the shading I did all by myself.

Nice job! That's a particularly hard angle and pose to draw, and you did pretty well.

My only beef is the smile.

How would you change the smile?

And emccky, I don't really like to use color a lot, maybe I should I don't know.

I didnt even know he had teeth. I thuoght it was like 2 sets of teeth. One big on the bottom and one big on top. Anyway, his shoe looks kinda funny when u first see it but it's really not that bad. Plus that IS a difficult angle, and you pulled it off nicely. Good job. nice shading too.

The shading is pretty good. I dig the contrast. And the eyes are really good too.

It might be the scanner, but next time, lay a piece of paper down and set your hand on it while you shade. It'll help not smear the graphite.

Actually, I think it is the placement of the brow. Eyes convey the most emotion. I am just making up words as I am going on without any real understanding of what I am saying nor wether or not it makes sense.

i think its amazing, what the hell are these kids talking about too many teeth and bad placement of the brow. its a drawing, not an exhibit in the louvre lol

its great! i love it. the only actual problem with it is that the eyebrow looks like a ear. sorry to say but its true. you have great talents and all the the eyebrow looks like its too high or something.
