In general it is pretty much common courteousness that is needed (as far as i have found). Make sure your grammer is decent and you don't personally attack people or start flame wars and you will be pretty much set up.
Oh and it is useful to look at the forums and what they are for so that you know where to put any threads you want to write.
Saying this it is always good to have a quick flick through the rulesand stickys like falconsfan said, just so you know what is expected here.
Other than that, enjoy the forums, that is what they are here for!
