What is the best DDR type game that lets you add your own songs? And i'm kind of computer illiterate so is it easy to do this type of thing or not? And is it even possible?

Well, this was far from the correct forum. I'll help anyway though.
Stepmania is by far the best DDR simulator. It does in fact allow you to make your own steps for songs and download others' steps for songs. You can get Stepmania at Stepmania at Stepmania.com (http://www.Stepmania.com). You can get all the best songs at Bemanistyle.com (http://www.Bemanistyle.com). You need to register at their site to download though. To learn how to add songs to Stepmania (or SM for short), go here (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=9044). To make your own steps, I'd reccomend checking around the Bemanistyle Forums for a guide on how to do it.
If you have a really bad computer, SM might not be able to run. If you encounter this, check for new drivers for your video card. If that still doesn't help, you can always look into getting DWI (Dance with Intensity). It is like SM, except it doesn't take as much from your computer, so not as good computers can easily run it. I'm not sure where you can get DWI, but the DWI forum on this site probably has the answer.
As long as the question relates to SM, any further questions you have should probably be put into the Stepmania forum on this site. Any other questions you have should be welcome in the "n00b" forum here.

With those programs, how simple is adding a song? Are there any bemani games free or for purchase that can add songs and create steps by simply putting the file into the program?
