I'm not sure! It just showed up today I guess. I checked the Cheap Ass Gamer forums yesterday, but there wasn't really anything special. My friend checked it today and linked me to this. It's a crazy deal. O_o

RE4 is getting INSANELY good reviews too... mmmm

Uhh?

Wait a month or two and get it for 30 bucks. Every month after that will be another 5 dollars off.

Personally, I'm not down with the whole "OUR GOAL WAS TO FREAK YOU OUT" game genre.

lol... If you've read anything on RE4, it's a bit different than the other ones. It's more of a suspenseful game than a horror game. The reviews for it are amazing.

Plus you'd have to wait at least 4 months for this game to go down to that price. Even then, is it worth it to wait that much longer for a game to save $8? I've been waiting for this game for the past 3-4 months. I wasn't excited about it for the longest time until, like I said, recently. It started to shape up into a must-have game for me.

Damnit, people. RE4 is so damn different in a good way, that this game actually rocks ass. I my favorite part is when you have to hit the buttons as they appear, because that reminds me of Shenmue, which was also an awesome game.

Personally, I havent played any of the RE games...because I am a pussy and Zombies are hella scary, but I watched my cousins play RE2.

Though, I might try RE4, just because it sounds really good. I just dont want to end up like my friend who bought RE2, but never played it because he was too afraid. He only played it when other people were over.

lol.. pussies...

I have REmake. I never got into it because of the clunky controls... The controls are similar in this, but because of the different camera system (not fixed camera), it should be different. There haven't been complaints about it like the previous REs... ANYWAYS, I only played it in complete darkness.. mmm, same with Eternal Darkness.

someone list the differences in this one to the old ones. Please don't be all infomercial about it either. Don't try to act like old was horrible and new is best thing ever. Just give it a quick rundown. Like camera, controls, sound, environment, enemies, story line, and shit of that nature.

Camera: Over the shoulder and back a little. You can also move it around a little and look at places.
Controls: Similar in regards to digital movement. B button is to run, L button pulls out the knife, A is context sensitive. Aiming is now analog and the hit detection is great. You can shoot out kneecaps, do headshots, shoot the weapons out of their hands. Controls are much more improved also in part of the new camera system.
Sound: Dolby Pro Logic II, I think.
Evironment: Faster pace with lots of suspense.
Enemies: Smart, since there aren't zombies (villagers are half-human). They can often ambush you. Bosses are said to be very creative and increase in how unique they are.
Storyline: Characters from RE2. I never played RE2, and I didn't read stuff of the story because I don't want anythign spoiled. It's supposed to be pretty good though, and the cinematics are said to be very smooth since it's real-time.
Other: No more ribbons needed to save. There are also checkpoints. No more item boxes, but moveable storage like Diablo (as in you arrange the items to fit the most you can). Lots of ammo and health, thus this game isn't really about conserving like the last games, especially since enemies drop gold and such. Gold can be used to buy weapons, bigger briefcase, upgrade weapons, etc.
