A question to anyone whos really really good at ffr or simil

My question to those of you who are really good at these kind of games is: Did you just start playing it and have a natural talent and could play the hardest songs on here without much dificulty or, did start out like anyone and just practice and gradually achieve your current level of greatness?

This might have been asked before, I just couldn't be arsed looking through countless pages you know.

Well Lueadar, all I did was practice a LOT AND A LOT, its the only way to really learn with no experience.

i started about 8-9 months ago... although ive been albe to pass heavy songs for about 6-7 of those months.. i could actually fc them and not have any problems with basically anysong 3-4 months ago... so i guess it took many days of practice...

yes it took me many many many says of pratice since i am natuarlly clumpsy and have horrible hand eye coord....dont even get me started on how long it took me to get good @ DDR

I already had a solid background in DDR before I started DWI and FFR so difficult songs werent hard for me.

erm...i was crappy...but i got good fast. just keep playing, and you get better.

I've played 1014 games, and there's 2 songs I can't beat still..... I know I'm really slow at getting good at this, so I tried Stepmania because everyone says it really helps you get better faster but everytime I load it the damn thing can't find any songs, even though I put everything in the right file and everything.....oh well.....

natural, just had to get my fingers used to which keys to press and I was good

I started out playing Stepmania for 2 years, then I found FFR, so I already started out doing songs that were "for masters only".

It takes a lot of practice for everyone. Nobody has the instincts to just naturally start off as a master at it. As for FFR:

-practice
-screenshrinking
-converting to spread if not already
-playing SM with CMods.

speeds up your rate of improvement astronomically. i went from not being able to FC CIA rave to AAA'ing Hyper Pressure in about 2 months.
