You can't increase or decrease the difficulty on FFR. You can on StepMania though.

See, the reason a lot of these people think the songs are easy is this: they play them over, and over, and over and over, because they simply have nothing better to do. I can't beat that song legitimately. In order for me to get past that one, I have to press random buttons in the beginning and from there, just enough to get by.. ;\

I used to do that... Only doing left and up so I could get through the level... I found Mega Man is a good level to practice not doing that. On the harder levels just left and up won't get you through, you need to be able to hit 75% of all the notes.
