FF7 renamed characters

When you go through the game it's always interesting to rename characters after things you are familier with... The first time I played it I was forced to by a friend. I didn't get very far, but just to annoy him, I named all the characters after minor insults. Later I got it on computer because I like it, I still used all the minor insult names however. Even later I decided to start a new file on my new computer. This time I named the characters after my friends. However my computer had some kind of huge error and I lost my file, I was in that jail wasteland around Gold Saucer. Now I have started a new file and am just around the Chocobo farm. I'm naming my characters after people on this forum. There's a 8 or 9 character limit when naming so the choices are limited. So far I have this:

Cloud - Freak83 (of course)
Barret - Arch0wl
Red XIII - Scorpio

I don't know who else I'm going to use... probably Hyrogashi for Cid if the name will fit. I don't like using short forms of names, but I couldn't remember the numbers after Scorpio.

Anyway, what do you guys do when you're renaming characters in FF7 if you rename them?

Umm..... you can't rename Sephiroth or any of the Shinra, I'll try to fit you in. Only problem is I think the only 2 male characters left to rename are Cait Sith and Cid.

I'd make a good Cid. put it as "SleepAid" if you want something pronounceable.

1690, but scorpio's alright I guess, use 87x as Cait Sith since he was kind of like a bad guy, he was a turk but then turned good and that's about as close as you get, as for me, I never rename my characters on FF7, I hate renaming them, it makes the game fake....Red XII? How'd I get Red XII? Even though he was part of my ultimate team in my ultimate FF7 game, how come I didn't get like Vincent, he's so kewl lol...Nanaki....Wtf.....Man, I'd rather be Tifa, at least then I could play with myself lmao...

I know it wasnt hard to get Vincent. I just leveled-up out side of the Village until I was able to fight that creepy monster.

I'm naturally good at FF's and so I just sat there getting hit, using Hi Potions, climhazzard, greased lightning, clear tranquil, bio 2 and thunder and fire I think when he was in his vulnerable magic mode, if he wasn't in that mode I was ****ed..... Or was it the other way around?...... Nah, I was ****ed if he was in his club you to death mode....

Ya, so Sephiroth was a failed Sephiroth project lol, and Aries was Tifa and so Tifa dies instead, and like, Barret's Bugenhaggen's step-grandson and RedXII has a kid named Marlene and whatnot.... I never did that, I just named them obscenely rude names and so when they were in emotional or serious scenes it's all like,"Don't do it ASS****!"

His best weapon, you get it f you have him in your team when when you're climbing up the tower to fight Hojo, if you have him in your team there will be a box, it will have his best weapon, it is a claw.

It never showed him how he put bullets in it but I bet if it was real the fron would probably be on hinges of a sort and it would flip open or in real life he would feed chains through it I guess...

The best weapon wasnt a calw. you could buy a cannonball or a claw. Both were good, but the last one was a gun, I am almost 100% sure of it.

Machine Gun arm. I just played it. I never used Barret though. I usually used Cloud, Yuffie, and Vincent; or Cloud, Vincent and Cid.

Vincent was good, but the Death Penalty sucked even when he was level 99, he only did like 3500 damage with it..... If you wanna just kick some serious ass though, Cloud, Ultima Weapon, Level 99, Mastered 2x cut so it's 4x cut! You do..... What's 9999 times 4?

I could get 7777 by rearranging clouds hp materias at lv99

Also there was a materia combo that could dominate so hard.. forgot what it was though, but some ff7 nerds probably know

I'm an FF7 nerd, I barely slept the first time I was on my way to beat it.... The materia combo that kicked ass was probably KOTR, HP Plus, HP Plus, Mp Plus, Bahamaut Zero, Mimic, 4x Cut and D. Blow, you probably could've added in a couple more summons like Chubby Chocobo or somethin or if you weren't at 9999 hp a couple more HP Plus. But if you had the Master Materia then it would be way easier to equip all that.....

Anything wih KOTR and HP up rocked so hard. Mimic is fun, along with 2/4x cut, and the Master MAteria that I have no chnce in hell of getting by beating the weapons.....:-P:(

Dude, the only hard weapon for me was Ruby, Emerald weapon was easy and that's the only weapon you had to beat to get the master materia. All you need to beat him is:Underwater Materia(Optional),Mimic, Mimic, KOTR,Final Attack, Phoenix and some HP and MP Plus. All you do is KOTR with Cloud then keep on Mimicking it with your other two people and when he does his thing that does 10,000 damage your final attack comes in wiith Phoenix and brings you all back to life.
