Stitching program

I remember a long time ago somebody was stitching together pictures to make a larger picture from a bunch of smaller ones taken of slightly different locations on the same object... then somebody came along and had a program that would stitch it together automatically, and the results were amazing...

Does anyone happen to remember what program that was? Or just know of a program I can get that will do this? I so need it...

It doesn't solve this. You don't think I tried google? I couldn't find anything about it.

I think it was called something like Photostitch (go figure). Not sure where to get it though.
