who knows how to make stepfiles??

Does anyone actually know how to make stepfiles :?: :?:

I have just learned how within the past 3 days. Let me tell you what I know.

1) Download stepmania at www.stepmania.com
2) Open up notepad, and use Nestlekwik's guide to fill in everything you need except for the actual arrows.
3) Place the song.dwi or song.sm file into "Open songs folder" in Stepmania
4) Go to the stepmania editor and begin to create!

then u goto save as and change the save to thing to all files then name it

some thing with a .sm extension

Or .dwi. They both work, but DWI is more versatile, and .sm is automatically made when you begin in the editer.

yea wut he said.......then just goto edit record synch and edit away and u shud get winbpm to figure out the bpm

uhhhhhhhhhh... im kinda technically challenged so i dont get anything too complicated for a monkey to understand. i just use pre-made programs and everythings so easy :)

1-get Xstep
2-enter everything important- title, artist and blahblah
3-find bpm
4-make a 1-step stepfile for any of the difficulties you want to make and put in the foot rating
5-export to dwi
6-edit dwi on stepmania

but speaking of all this, since bemaistyle and sims is down, does anyone know how to get xstep?
