Faint Breath. Is it honestly an FMO or should it be downgraded to a VC? Honestly, I think it's a 10.
Why? Because, it reminds me of a better-synced, colored, Silence v1. Silence V1 is a VC, despite having some rather hard-to-read jumpstream, with lots of random missable notes strewn about. Faint Breath brings about some of the same problems, except this time they're in color and easier to manage, though only slightly.
Most of the difficulty lies in the fact that a lot of the jumptrills of the second half go (14)(23) or (13)(24), or a variant of said patterns. It may be a bit longer than Silence, with more notes, but I can't really say that from my standpoint, it's necessarily worth being a whole number grade higher. It's more of a mid-high VC than it is an FMO, even if it were the lowest benchmark for FMOs. As I recall, Flesvelka is the highest VC, and it's certainly not trickier than that file.

Oh whoops. For some reason I remember Flesvelka as a VC, didn't it used to be? Sorry about that.

Okay, GoSW, Novo Mundo, Choprite... hmm, it's close, but I can still see this being a high benchmark for VC. Maybe slip it right in front of For FFR, but not much more than that.

Nope it was always an fmo i believe lol. but for the record i agree with your point i see it fitting better as a high 10 for ur comparisons

Eh... I think it's fine as a FMO mainly because the jumpstream is actually difficult. There is a high possibility of splitting jumps due to the overusage of [13], [24], [23], and [14] jumps. The jumpstream of Makiba and in my opinion, EHHS, is much easier compared to Faint Breath's. If this isn't convincing enough, add some strange roll patterns into the file and you should have a reasonable FMO.
I think this file is a harder version of Novo Mundo since the structure of both charts are extremely similar. Jumpstream jumpstream jumpstream, rollolol. The rolls and the jumpstream of Faint Breath's is much harder than Novo Mundo, and I think we're keeping Novo Mundo as a low FMO?

Leave it be, as novo is way easier and is an fmo this song is forced as an fmo.

I believe you meant Feldschlacht or however it's spelled.
It's definitely easier then that, but much harder then songs like Novo Mundo. Again, another dilemma.

What Faint Breath has is a lot of hidden one handed trills in its jumpstream which makes it tricky to keep consistent on without a massive amount of splitting.
Also, the ending 24th-32nd transition with the jumps in between is also very easy to trip up on. If there's anything FMO about this file, it's some key transitions.

The jumpstream is far more intense and lengthy than anything in any VC. Though it is straight jumpstream, it fits far more along the lines of FMO by jumpstream comparison, especially with Makiba and all. I see no reason to lower it to VC.

Low FMO based on the Makiba argument.
Based on the Silence v1 argument, I'd be more inclined to make silence an 11 than drop Faint Breath to a 10.
