You know how they're making a FF10-2? Wouldn't it kick ass if they made an FF7-2? I mean FF7 was so much better thann FF10 and so wouldn't that just make it better. Plus, it would mean the comeback of MATERIA! Materia was so much better than anything else, except maybe the like, classes in the early ones with things like Red Mage and Red Wizard.

:x Unfortunatly the 'great' people down at Squaresoft forgot to realize that fan opinions don't matter and by taking X-2 on as the new realease with the release of FFXI (online) they have turned what was once looked at as one of the best RPG series of all time if not THE BEST, and made it into Tomb Raider (Yuna has guns in the game folks....guns! SHES A SUMMONER) and Everquest (Online FF... good idea. BUT IT ISN'T FINAL FANTASY!). Just to sum it up yes FF7-2 sure would be great! Me personally I'd like to see a remake for PS2 maybe, a few extras, bonus disc, other then that you just can't. Final Fantasy games never had sequels always changing, always new. Screw the hype, I would rather play Final Fantasy Tactics or FF3 anyday. *shakes angry fist at Squaresoft*

due to the fact that FF7 is old as far as modern rpgs go, making a direct sequel to it would be almost the same as making a whole new game...

I also recomend a game called EHRGEIZ GOD BLESS THE RING. its a fighting game where Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth is in. secret characters include Yuffie and Vincent as well. :mrgreen:

A FF7 remake is NOT A SEQUEL!!! it would be a remake for the PS2 model, instead of the ps1 model. it would be the same game with maybe perhaps a few more side quests (which would be great), and more stunning cinematics. (and maybe a few more game shark codes for us to poke around with. :wink: !)

I agree with Hobbes on the remake of FF7. It was the best final fantasy ever. There was only one problem for me and its the fact that everytime i played it I would get to the crater where Sephiroth was and I would either have 2 things happen. 1.Iwould somehow magically lose my memory card or 2. And, um, NO on the game being "the greatest ever". First off, the translation would have had to have been handled by someone COMPETENT with the English language. I'm sorry, but a 3rd grade reading level is just not for me, even back when I was, what? I want to say entering junior high when the game originally came out. Face it, the text is horribly, horribly bland, the story is a lame rehash of FF6 (which WAS a good game, believe it or not), the characters are super lame (especially everyone's precious Cloud and Sephiroth), yadda yadda, I can litterally go on for hours on how much the game blew. Materia were lame, for one. I like it when my characters have UNIQUE ATTRIBUTES AND ABILITIES, for one.

All I can say is that... everyone who still thinks of FF7 as the best, really, REALLY needs to go play something of actual quality (many previous Square games work, if you want to remain a fanboy of a company with lowering standards).

Yea there is a FF7-2 coming out. I don't know if it' a movie or a game...from the screenshots that I saw in a magazine though it is most likely a movie. No offense but Cloud looks g a y and Sephiroth got uglier.
