There are no official rules for this section yet but just to start things off on the right foot,

* You are allowed .mp3 and .zip file uploads.

* DO NOT UPLOAD COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. Uploading copyrighted material will get you banned for good.

* Each file cannot exceed 4mb

* DO NOT UPLOAD COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL... Saying it twice so you don't forget

* Only upload files that have to do with FFR in some way. This is not for general files.

* DO NOT UPLOAD COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL... There, that should clear up any confusion about that subject.

Posting songs that you have the rights to is ok as long as you understand that others might be able to download these files and that you alone are responsible if the file was not meant to be distributed.

And what if we have created a stepfile for an existing song that we don't have permission to use? Like can we just upload the stepfile which we created and tell everyone to go find the song on their own?

So you can have .mp3 and .zip, so how do you get the steps up if your computer can't zip files?

Also, so we can't post a zipped folder with the mp3 and steps? because I doubt all 1000 some on the popular SM sites have permission for the songs...

Are these songs and steps that you can use in the game? I assume so, but how do you actually play them? I used to play FFR all the time, but it's been a while and I've never heard of using files outside of the game itself. Confusing enough for you?

two questions.

One - Would Anime Openings count as Copywrited material? =p

Two - If its copywrited material, can the person upload it to their own personal domain and paste its link for download here?

Anime intros are copywright. We can't use them.

If it's copywright then you can't use it at all. Don't bother uploading it.

You have to remix it yourself or manage to locate a legal remix (OCRemix is an example of legal use game remixes) of the song.
