Can we have an option to have the previous setup back?

It'll probably also be more useful to people hosting tournaments if they can see exactly what time that post was -- I'd much rather see 12:00 AM/Tues Sep. 27 over 12 hours ago...you know?

I agree with this, just putting a time/date instead of a general "when" would be pretty useful.

Any preference for the actual markup?
I can alter the way it is displayed as well.

Thank you so much -- I hope people agree with the change. Is it selectable anywhere for those who don't like it?

Also, MM/DD/YYYY is another option, but Month/Day/YYYY works too.

EDIT: Actually, MM/DD/YYYY might be better because it seems like the current setup is doubling the size of the blue bar above posts.

Also, when it was the previous setup, posts that were made the day before/on were labeled as Yesterday, TT:TT and Today, T:TT, respectively. Maybe you could get that part working too?

Oh man, awesome. This makes some things a lot easier to deal with.

typo Zag: meant Month DD, YYYY, time, not /YYYY (etc). Aesthetic choice. My mistake.

Slashes all over the forum are a bit irregular.

EDIT: I keep prematurely hitting Submit Post instead of preview, hahaha

I think it's good as is now, since it tells exactly when it is posted and on what day without changing the size of that bar anymore.

LOL add / or - or something, spaces are gonna drive me nuts

If someone can find me a guide on how to put the time first I'll try it out, I'm looking but no luck.

I'm a faggot. Here, let me actually get what I'm trying to say to you since I keep saying it horribly wrong.

Three letter abbreviation for the month DD, YYYY, T:TT PM

so:

Jan. 1, 2012, 5:50 PM - or whatever. Looks clean in the forums that way.

And then make the forum change the entire thing to Today or Yesterday if it fits that situation.

This post would display "Today, 2:15 PM" right now, and then when a day passes, it should say "Yesterday, T:TT PM".

Anything two days or older would go to the format listed in blue.

Done tripping over myself now, I promise.

Better?

That works. Looks fine in the forums. Wasn't exactly what I was trying to get at the first time but this way looks better, haha.

This should make things easier for those running tournaments.

EDIT: hmmm, the forum times are off by an hour (actually, two for me) from what they used to be. I looked in the User CP to see it set to Central time, but when I switched it to Eastern time, nothing happened?

EDIT #2: never mind, my mistake

I prefer it this way as well.

What about the rest of the world that uses DD/MM/YYYY? I was born on the 4th of September, not the Semptemberth of 4, lol.

Add as an additional option, but don't change that to default, considering FFR is a game with servers in the US.
