So, what kind of equipment do you use?
Right now I'm using either my Johnson D-38 (Acoustic) or my dad's D-18 (Acoustic). Also in the fall for my B-Day I'm getting a Sunburst Standard Strat. and a 40wt Marshall Amp. I'm also looking around for a wawa pedal.
i have a squier strat and a ibanez gsa60. a 15wt crate amp. a digitech rp50. and a vox wah wah. my broke ass aint gettin a damn thing soon.

Ha... ok..
I'll start in the order I bought them..
Tokai Hard Puncher (circa mid 1970s) P bass... not worth too much.. It had nice tone until the wires came loose, then I had to rewire it and rebuilt it. Repainted it, it looks sweet now..
Fender Custom Jazz Bass ( body was made in 1995) Jazz body, P-bass neck, gotoh bridge, with vintage knobs and EMG active pick ups. ;)
Martin & co Dreadnaught DM (made in 2000) acoustic guitar.
Kingston acoutic guitar(made in 1970ish) Has awesome bass since the wood body is broken in...
Musicman Stringray bass ( made in 1982) sunburst.. (drool) best part is I buy the thing for $ 1100..and then when I go to pick it up the next day, the guys who sold it to me look really depressed because they found out the same guitars were selling for about $2000 on e-bay ;)..And that was a couple years ago, so it is probably worth a couple hundred more now
I just have a 1x18 fender combo 100 watt bass amp.. I was going to get a twin reverb, but I don't have a strat or telecaster to blow through it.. It's been reliable and loud, and whenever we recorded I just DIed, so I never saw a need for another bass amp.
I'm a vintage lover.. I think older guitars have better sound... And I don't mind paying the price to get an asskicking axe...

Wow nice bass equipment Spook, you should look up the Classic Johnson D-18, the one I have is ancient. It's worth a lot. So much that I could sell it, Get a Les Paul and have a couple hundred left over.

There's this store called Freedom Guitars, down in Hollywood, which I been to just twice.. They have so many rare guitars, it is.. unbelievable.. The place is really small, so it is packed with guitars and basses hanging from everywhere.. There are so many Les pauls of vintage they just stack them together..like 20 of them all just in a pile..it's so sick dude... I almost died of shock from seeing so many amazing guitars.
The lead guitar for my old band played a custom strat and a 1970s les paul.. The thing was heavier than a mahaguney (spelled wrong, I'm sure) fender P bass I currently am in posession of.. and personally I like strats better... I can't think the brand offhand, but the guitars Santana uses, they are better sounding than Les pauls I think.
Speaking of Gibsons, I had the fortune to play a matching set of EB and SG, the first year they came out for a couple months.. Cherry red... damn beautiful guitars.. Walk around carrying a case in each hand, showing up to jams.. I was king..
Sometimes used to play with an amp head Eddy Money used for a tour, 100 watt sucker we called Dark Matter, because it was black and heavier than anything known to man. We sent it through a 1x18" carvin speaker cab.. The lead guitar used to use it a lot, and with a les paul the bass really came out beautiful, and nice crunch overdrive to it = bliss.
And I blew out a tube on a marshall amp head that Metallica used for part of the Black Album, lol...
you guys make me jealuos with all your expensive equipment. but have you ever seen a flying v bass? that would be hella cool to get because i haven't seen one.

Nice, I saw this really cool looking bass the other day. It was a tan maple guitar (sand color). But the cool part about it was that there was no fret board! It just looked really awesome, plus it sounded nice too.

I've only got one. and its a fender stratocaster. I love it, its really old however, but it still plays nice. i was thinking of changing the plate on it with a set. Any suggestions on what would look nice with a white background?(Colors, i mean)
