View Full Version : 'Pathetic' Sonata

I just found this site today and have had a load of fun already! I do have to say though, the Moonlight Sonata was done VERY POORLY... the beat is wrong, the song is the wrong speed, and the only way you can do ok in it is if you turn off your speakers. I would suggest redoing the arrows to actually go with the CHANGING beat of that song, or acquire a version that does not change beat.
Thanks
Stuart
moonlight sonata is written with the tempo changes.
on my comp the arrows play pretty close.

I have to agree, the sonata is pathetic. The only way I could do decent on it was to turn the volume all the way down. The arrows really should be fixed.

For those of you who do not know why I chose 'pathetic' as the title, there is also another composition by beethoven that is quite good called the sonata pathetique. Just a little play on words :)

It was not done poorly. Congratulations for making the 17 000'th thread on this VERY SAME TOPIC!!! I do not exacturate! The playing of the piano does not have to follow a steady tempo, especially when it is a complex piece. I think the situation is something like FFR can't support the beat changes during a song. Nestlekwik, plz clear this whole matter up by telling everyone exactly what happend by a news article on the front page. If I ever see another thread on this topic I'm going to kill something.

That's like that with like every FFR song
Then Arch0wl, win the competition so we can all see how well you can do.

I'll await your better stepfile and quality of song.
For the FFR engine, you can only use 1/4 or 1/8 notes and cannot use speed changes which are featured in the song.

I thought Arch0wl said HELLBEAT had 1/16th notes... :?

yay pathetique is awsome,
to make arch0wl, Hyro, and the rest of the mutants happy, it has some *walks away for a minute to check the score* 128th notes in it. Quite a fun piece (I can play it ). If i just could learn how to make a DWI file and send it to Synthlight, Chrono would seem like a warmup song. :D

And you could make a DWI file with 128ths in it without being retarded?
Seriously, impossible dwis are easy as hell to make. Impossible dwis that go to the music are a lot harder to make.
And Chrono IS a warmup song.
Besides, I doubt synths converter can read 64ths or anything above that anyway.

They supposedly can, but I'm not sure if it is supported in the current beta and not just Remix. I'll have to get clarification on this.

128ths? You could do that, or you could also do this. Go to the weapons shop, buy a gun, and do us all a favor and shoot yourself. And dont forget to die. SERIOUSLY, Nobody in the universe could do 128th's, not even Yisu. Anyways, How about i make it? I havent made a dwi in a long time, and if no ones planning to make it, ill make the file, since you cant musicheck. Plus, i made the classical section idea anyways
EDIT: THE SONGS 20 FUCKING MINUTES LONG?! *comits suicide*
I am Bipolar. * huge grin *
WTF is BIPOLAR.... anyway... 128th would suck major ass.... picture payon... but 10x harder... and steps would be closer together..... if you cant beat your own creation why make it??
Arch0wl
05-6-2003, 09:52 AM
128ths are impossible to see. Anything higher than a 64th goes black.
hmm.... i think i've seen black steps somewhere before... you talking black on step or dwip or ffr???
Arch0wl
05-6-2003, 10:19 AM
No as in black steps as in they're so scrunched up they fade black
oh ok... i remember it wasnt balck steps it was purple.... and its on ddr max usa for ps2.... like change the arrow colors and on some songs they have purple arrows...

I will seriously consider finding a better stepfile... and I can PERSONALLY record a version that does not change tempo. If anyone can point me in the right direction to make a 'stepfile'... that would be great.

Well, Your being owned and disrespected by the people who "spend all their life on a game" Actually, You have absolutely no idea how much time i spend. I dont even play FFR every day, and i only play it for 2 minutes max every other week i do play it. newb. Shutup, Your owned.

No, I dont play FFR. And that's the game hes referring to. I SOMETIMES Play Stepmania for about 2 hours aftersmall sessions through the whole day, However, Im an insomniac, and late at night, Stepmania is all i have, If i wasnt an insomniac i would only play for about 45 minutes a day SOMETIMES. K? pwnt to a crisp.

I play FFR everytime there's a new hard song added ;)
But
When revolutionary comes, I'll probably be playing more than usual, because I'll FINALLY have a challenge that I doubt I can beat
i got tired of playing the dame old easy songs on my DWI so i havent play in like 10 days.. but i just got winter.. and im hoping it'll keep me occupied...
QreepyBORIS
05-10-2003, 09:14 AM
Revolution is actually gonna be for FFR?
You were raving alot about it when I talked to you online....
Eh, whatever. If they keep the curren miss system, it should be piss easy....
Arch0wl
05-10-2003, 09:47 AM
No, it would be HARDER
You're talking about the lifebar system
Let me put it this way
I CAN'T BEAT IT IN SM ON 3x (it uses 16ths)
If synth directly transfers it the way it is then it's going to be FUCKING HARD.
if your tlaking about winter.... it would be un passable to everyone who doesnt hack the site....
Hyrogashi
05-11-2003, 03:02 AM
its easy
easy on 1x flat??... you must be a lot better than i thought you where
Arch0wl
05-11-2003, 05:50 AM
87x I was talking about Revolutionary, which is harder than payon.
87x I was talking about Revolutionary, which is harder than payon.
SHIAT!!!! harder that payon??? hader as in more closer steps??? and just everything crazy??? if you have it for SM or DWI can i get it from you arch?? or tell me where to get it from
Hyrogashi
05-11-2003, 10:47 AM
I disagree, I personally find payon much harder.

The moonlight sonata has many changes yes. even so, it is possible to put the arrows on the beat. it's been done in other ffr songs. not all the songs are off beat, don't get me wrong, i haven't done everyone of them for I am not that good yet. but, i have noticed that some of the songs are off. I know music quite well for schooling purposes. Moonlight sonata happens to be my favorite classical piece. One problem that i notice iwth it, is the are trying to put arrows to both the left hand and the right hand, which may screw people up a bit, unless it is done in a decent manner.

Well, those parts with the 999777333111 kill me X_X
I can give it out once it releases on FFR.
And it's not closer together - it's 148 bpm and uses 16ths.
we really need to get speed mods on here....

Umm... I tried downloading DWI and it says im missing FreeImage.dll anyone know why, or how I can fix it? Should I just download it again?
d/l it again... if it still doesnt work... then just go somewhere else to get it... if it still doesnt work.. i guess you can settle for SM (isnt as cool)
