The AA hatetrain is dumb idk why you guys are all over him. Gradiant's being a dick, don't know what that means (is this the Gradiant gameplay everyone was talking about?). Tokzic, RB, Yoshiisland and I haven't posted much. I apologize if my inactivity has been difficult to deal with, I just want to make sure my posts are good as well as to not have a repeat of turbo 3.

So far I'm reading reuben_tate as town and DaBackpack as wolf (I'm not putting a vote out on him unless I can get more out of him). Everyone else is up in the air.

the thing about dbp is that he's good at working towards hunting wolf. as a serial killer, he can still do that, so his gameplay feels more "natural" probably in that respect.

From your perspective, if I'm Human, I think it's clear that I didn't connect the dots - the purpose of my second post was to be frivolous and I wasn't really thinking of the fact that I literally haven't played a TWG with Gradiant in years. It only became overt upon seeing a post of his when the realization struck. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think the facts of this matter are inherently suspicious.

I'm looking at this with a fresh perspective on it, and I usually look for early misplays from scum early on. Everything from the way people phrase sentences to inconsistencies. There is a chance that you actually typed in his name, posted it, then later realized who you were playing with. There is that chance. There also is the chance that you messed up and (as I think ben said) you carefully edited that post so well that it slipped your mind. Looking at this again, I'm still sticking to my guns saying I don't like it but I don't believe you should be one of the main focuses of todays lynch so far. However that might change, as I'm catching up for 20 pages right now lol.

What I'm curious about is that if I'm a Wolf from your perspective, what's your reasoning? Do you think I saw Gradiant post and decided to lie about knowing he was in the game? And would you think I would do so as an attempt to dumbtell (which wouldn't even be a dumbtell anyway, since not knowing one Player is in the game doesn't really tell you anything)? Even aside from the fact that I'm not the type of Player to intentionally dumbtell or similar, I don't really see why you would think the latter possibility is likelier than the former. Literally in both cases, I'm required to have forgotten about my second post in the thread where I mentioned Gradiant, and you're implying that's inherently suspicious?

And if you're unconvinced of my aloofness, here's a game where I literally had a 25 minute conversation with people without realizing the game had even started.

Reasoning said above copy pasta, "I usually look for early misplays from scum early on". I don't think you saw gradiants posts and decided to lie, because the realistic approach if you were sum is that you carefully crafted your first post, then posted the 2nd one without much thought of the first one where you were aware that you already talked about Gradiant. Also I went through that game thread you linked on last-life and couldn't find the post you are talking about.

Anyway, something that strikes me odd about Xiz's behavior currently is that it's domineering, but also more impulsive than thoughtful imo - in a Wolfy way. It feels to me that his vote on me was more of a compulsion of what he ought to do than a legitimate suspicion, however weak he feels it is (or strong? I wasn't really sure tbh). I'm not really liking his approach to AragakiAyase atm - seems weird imo to focus so much on someone so early, but to be fair, I think it's in his playstyle to home in on a Player when he's suspicious of them. I'm just not sure why he's doing it so early on. I don't think AragakiAyase's question about alignment-indicativeness was anything unusual.

How do you see me now that I explained my reasoning to you? Also there is nothing wrong with pressure on a player early on at all. If anything it gives people something to talk about. Actually, AA said it best...

Yeah, I understand that part, so then do you think he wouldn't act like that as a Human then? I feel in general both Human and Wolf new Players would shy away from the spotlight when votes are on them. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't feel like he expressed feeling any pressure in the post where he unvoted (there were 2 votes on him at the time? And they were clearly joke votes).

I'm not sure he wouldn't act like that as a human. the vote was more off a feeling at the time than a concrete reason, then I thought about it a bit more and posted that reason at the top of page 8 at the time. I think as town he's more likely to still unvote, but not bring something random up all of a sudden in the same post

I do agree with new players staying out of the spolight obvi, but I still don't see how he was deflecting pressure.

I was thinking about gradient's catch on mashi and how it's even possible for something like that to happen.

One thing that came to mind was that if mashi was a wolf, then I could see why the situation could have happened. If Mashi was a wolf, then his first post (that listed everyone's names and the nature of their relationship to mashi) would have had to have been calculated to some extent. I say this because as a wolf, one could be hyper-aware of the order in which one list names (and also the names that are omitted as well). So although that first post had a warm, nice fuzzy feel to it, it would ultimately had to be made with a wolfy mindset if mashi is a wolf. The post where he acknowledges gradiant's existence, that post is more from a emotional mindset that's independent of whether mashi is a wolf or not. If the two posts were made with two entirely different mindsets, then it would make sense that it didn't "click" in the first post.

But that almost implies that you feel he may not be a wolf then, because if it was calculated that much he probably wouldn't have made the second "oh Gradiant's here" post later. From his PoV, as a wolf, there would have been no benefit to making that second post, or if he decided to do that that he would have followed with a snarky "Yeah it was a shitpost making fun of how not involved you are" comment (which didn't happen as far as I saw).

So before everyone forgets (myself included), does anyone else not like red blaster's post where he says that he likes windandbread's post (which says that he has no opinion of anyone)?

I've been keeping an eye on Redblaster, and i'm not sure how I wanna read him right now. He has definatly taken a back seat in his past two games i've played with him, ever since the WWE Zenith Vs. RedBlaster smackdown cage match. In both games where he has been passive, he was a wolf, then more active the next game as a jester. However, I would be surprised if Red Blaster kept up his same playstyle this game because it would be too obvious he's a wolf. Either i'm getting psyched out or reading Red Blaster has become that simple. It appears as though Red Blaster has been paying attention closely to the thread however, because he did immediately respond to AA in regards to this post:

It's a little hard to respond to all the posts you quoted about me when the responses to them are "what the fuck is this?" but from your perspective, you consider AA to be your top town, and anyone who is pushing AA looks scummy as shit?

The way I saw it yesterday, I didn't like a lot of what AA has posted. Since then, he has been posting a few good things that I liked as stated above. There are also people who I like that are saying he is town, so i'm considering that. There are also people who I like who are saying he is a wolf, and I'm keeping pressure up on him for that. Currently, I'm not as confident as I was last night on AA, so i'm still mulling it over. There are others (like MML) who I believe might be a better lynch, due to my thoughts on him about him thinking in a wolf of two wolves. The reason why I have not voted MML yet is because i'm trying to decide if he actually didn't read the setup as a town, or he was thinking about the two other wolves since he is the 3rd.

If this is true, what are your thoughts about Gradiant then, since I don't recall you making any posts about him, and he was making some pretty good posts pressuring AA. (DEFLECTION!!!)

Also contributing to "bare minimum contributions" is after reading xelnya post, MML seems to not get much out of that. Or the rest of the thread again.

I would bet every penny I own that, over the course of say 100 games, if you looked at the postcount of all the players in the game after d2 ends, within the lower half of the postcount will be at least half the wolfteam, its just one of the things that people who aren't Mashi-tier at the game are capable of doing as wolves, posting as much as they do when they're town

On another topic, I don't really like the post count theory for one wolf to be active and another to be inactive. I can believe that one wolf would be active but it has no indication on the others. I really doubt they would change their post habits just to counteract the theory, but even if they didn't, the number of posts per wolf is gonna depend on the players.

If you're referring to total post count, I don't know how total post count is indicative of anything at all. Given my first impressions, of this game, I wouldn't be surprised (and probably expected) that scum is within the shitposters. Of course, it's pretty obvious but it is rather strange for me.

Hell, I wouldn't say that activity in the game is indicative of anything mainly because it would just rely on meta-reasoning.

It is safe to say that if one wolf is active that we can assume the worst of the inactives are also scums.
