I don't really see the need to yet, if you guys are planning like 20 of these, then yeah, maybe, but not atm. I just want you to consider all the FFR users who really want this token yet cannot get it because they don't have a phone.

Unless I'm just making this up they're going to add a PayPal option soon. People without phones shouldn't be of any concern.

If you are just making this up, I will ring your neck until the skin is disintegrated. Then I will melt your innards and drink them while proposing a toast to your horrible lies. xD On the other hand, if you are right, I am veerrrrry happy.

Yet what if you dont have paypal? Would there be an option as to, if someone is so generous, buying it for you? Something like gift subscriptions. Maybe put it in the ffr shop under gifts would be something cool.
My 2 opinions to clarify are as followed 1. Make multiple ways to get this token as apposed to only having 1 option. Maybe adding it as buying an ffr shirt will also give you the token as a bonus. 2. Making this current purchase a gift option for those who don't have paypal. So someone else that is generous can help you out. Idk if this is even possible, but its a suggestion.

Support tokens seem cool, and just have it on the same page as achievement and normal tokens?

I am trying to make it even easier by modding the subscription service in vbulletin to act as if it is a "shop" where you can buy albums. The price would be $6.99 and would essentially be a 20 year non-recurring subscription. I just need to figure out how to automate the download functionality. This system would use paypal / creditcard.

I like this idea. If you can get this to work as to where in the ffr shop you can purchase this with a credit card, Id so do it then. My complaint before was the reason being using a phone was just ridiculous to get an ffr token, if you essentially, didnt want the FGJ album. I like this idea, like I said just before. If you can get this in the shop to wear you can buy it with a credit card, im all for it.

What happened to the rule of every song being public?
Why can't you just buy the album and have it sent to your computer? Obviously it dosn't matter what computer have or what ISP your with. It also dosn't matter what country your in. Also why is FFR so money hungry at the moment? Could subscribers/supporters get some sort of fiancial break down of what is needed and why? Alot of people are pumping money into the system and it seems that its just being used for more revenue raising features....

Guys.... seriously... CHILL.
I assume the ones having issues haven't read the whole thread... or haven't read most of the commentary from Synth. We're aware of the issues relating to the service and what countries/providers it will and will not accept. Synth has already said he's looking at other services. Synth has already said we're working on PayPal as a method of buying the album. AND... for the last time... more than helping FFR, you're helping SPOOK when you buy his album. You are getting SPOOK'S music. His awesome music. You are helping him in his goal to move out of his parents trailer. And as a reward for that help to both SPOOK and FFR, you are bestowed a magic extra level, of SPOOK'S music. It just so happens we put it in the "token" genre, because it is 100x easier to put it there than have to create a whole new system. Stop. Bitching. So. Much. Please. Thank you.

Perhaps as an alternate method for acquiring it would be to buy the token from the shop for an absolutely ridiculous cost: around 300k+ credits. Maybe an addictional restriction would be in place, such as having at least 1000 forum posts before it shows up, proving that you're part of the community. Technically postwhoring is frowned upon, so that shouldn't be an issue. That way the token is still achievable without spending money, silencing the whiners, but you have to be dedicated to FFR and - by the time you achieve those goals - you'd have to be part of the FFR community.
I do support being able to buy just the token itself, since if you continue with this plan it's only inevitable that a song I will want to play, but with an artist's album that I don't want will be released. Although the song is a reward, I view it as a reward for helping out FFR. The reward for helping the artist should be the music itself, after all. Either way, I'm buying this album for the album number one. |
