I so hacked MapleStory too, xD. Rubix, you can look at the high score table on most game sites to see what is possible, and what is obviously hacked. Like the highest time on FPA was 148 without mine or Jon's score. Getting 145-146 would be optimal, but I do not see myself getting that any time soon.
Jon, basically what Rubix said, but there are some other stuff that you do.

Okay, now I'm really done. I think I've brutalised the high score board enough.
![]() Arrow level was 17 seconds too, lol. |

Jon: I got Monster's Den Impossible badge in one sitting, staying up all night. It by no means requires a week of playing. Games like Papa's Pizzeria are pretty hellish though... I wasted like 2 or 3 nights on that fuggin game.
jon: I don't know what your time was -- it's actually really easy to get over 9000. I'd have to whore it out a bit more to tell for sure though. |

and theres my score ^^ points to 2 posts up This is NEAR PERFECT item usage. Maybe I could've used one of them a bit earlier, bc my mouse screwed up, but i doubt theres any higher score possible than maybe 9700

I kinda miss Kongregate back when I first started out and had no badges. Whoring out all those games was a lot of fun -- on rainy nights over Winter Break, I'd stay up with movies/tv going, a nice supply of food, some music, and hours of Kongregate. Now it's too much of a waiting game.

Well that's what I mean -- sometimes I miss something that would allow for a higher score. If I see scores slightly ahead of mine, it usually gives me incentive to figure out what smaller optimizations I might be missing. But really huge score jumps make me either think, "Ok I missed something big," or "This biznatch's haxxin"

or like how you thought your 50 on Compulse was optimal.
.this thread is now about how and when we've corrected Rubix.

I didn't think I had truly optimized it -- I just knew it was near-optimal. That was on my first run-through of the game too, btw, and very quickly run-through.
There were only a few levels in there I had incorrectly thought were optimal (the one where you needed to let it bounce on the ground first), some other level, and the last level (I had to actually throw it "over the head" at a weird angle). I still don't know if 44 is truly optimal, either. I'm almost certain there's at least one more place to reduce the load, but I'd have to check every level incredibly carefully. There's one level that we both have 2 on that I'm almost certain can be done in 1. Last edited by MrRubix; 06-12-2008 at 03:49 PM.. |

no i checked. I thought that level could be done in 1... wasted SO long figuring out every single combination... every PIXEL of placement was checked. Nope, just that little bit of height that you're missing. If you had like 2 pixels more height on that bounce it'd be doable on 1....
I am happy to inform I got one more....
