Neither did I. I wasn't even commenting on your scenario. Rather, I was saying that I really don't see the definition of the word "virginity" or the specific requisites of losing it to matter all that much.

That does make sense. but in the end it really differs from person to person on how it is lost.

The moment you engage in either oral sex or intercourse sex is the moment you stop being a virgin. Virgins are people who are inexperienced when it comes to sex and have never participated in any form of it before with another person.
Breaking the hymen has nothing to do with it.

IMO
You loose your virginity when you do sexual things to someone else. Whether it be the rubbing of Clitorises or Intercourse. Fingering also counts. Virginity just means that you have never been sexually active with someone other then yourself.

Fingering isn't intercourse. That's like saying that giving a guy a handjob is intercourse.

Not to sound like a complete idiot...(some parts ARE missing) but i have to agree with Nyokou. however mutual masturbation may be considered intercourse by some people.

Then those people are stupid/uneducated.
Sexual intercourse: genital contact that usually refers to the insertion of the penis into into the vagina followed by orgasm/coitus [sexual intercourse, esp. between a man and a woman]/copulation. EDIT: By the way, anyone can look these definitions up on dictionary.com They have absolute meanings, meaning no exceptions with fingers or whatever.

What the hell, I DO have more feedback. Here's some definitions:
Virgin: A person who has not experimented in sexual intercourse. 2. An unmarried women who has taken religious toys of chastity. Virginal: Of befitting a virgin. 2. unsullied or untouched; fresh. Sexual intercourse: sexual union between humans, gen. involving physical union of the sexual genitals. These definitions are credited to The American Heritage dictionary, 4th edition. The problem is, with this said, the definition of urgin is one's had sexual experiments. Whereas sexual intercourse requires penetration. Conflicting. |

So you're saying that virgins are people who have not had sexual intercourse, and I say it's not just that. If someone participates in oral sex, what are they? Not virgins, that's for sure.
Virgins are pure people who have never been exposed directly to any form of sex. Yeah, the dictionary might say otherwise and I am contradicting my statement earlier about definitions being absolute, but how could anyone honestly believe that people who have only performed oral sex or had it performed on them, are virgins? EDIT: I'm so tired, I'm not even sure if that makes sense right now. Maybe someone else can explain it better for me. I just won't accept the fact that someone who has done non-intercourse related sexual acts with another person is a virgin. So to get my point across to the OP, yes, you're friend isn't a virgin anymore if they participated in any sort of sexual acts with another person.

Holy crap, no. Are you even reading anything I'm typing?
If two people PHYSICALLY perform ANY KIND of SEXUAL ACTS on each other, they are NOT virgins anymore; it DOESN'T matter what gender they are either.

This thread really pisses me off. Where were the 18 people viewing it when we were debating suicide? Or war? Or parenting? Or the death penalty? No need to continue.
@ Nyokou: I wish I could say no. Speaking from someone who regrets losing their virginity in that way. @ Xinpig: congratulations, you got Synth on this thread. While he's here can you reply to my PM? Or can chardish? I mean, I am a subscriber. What happened to the guaranteed reply? @ Xinpig again: no, there's no conceivable way having cyber sex could constitue losing ones virginity. The same with phone sex. Only physical. |

I didn't see this previously. But don't start fighting guys. This is a VERY volatile subject. But if you want to peacefully continue it, don't start getting hot-headed.

my friend wants to know if anyone (mostly Nyokou) would consider rubbing through pants as a sexual act or making out.
because the meaning there is very clear. Last edited by xinpig; 04-27-2008 at 02:23 AM.. |

They could be considered fore play. They could be considered sexual acts, but not actual sex in any way.
