I believe that it is a human's natural tendacy to fear the dark more than the light..I myself find it to be more scary at night than day but I must still figure out the TRUE reason why. I'm not actually araid of the dark but I find it more scary and people always talk about how most bad things always happen at night, why not at day? Just because it is harder to see? I believe humans will eventually get in better touch with their senses and be able to see in the darkness just as they do when the sun is shining upon us. If anyone has anything to say about this..please tell your opinions and all.

I think it's because you don't know if anythings going to pop out and eat you, figuratively, because you can't see. Bad things hide in the dark, and whether you are actually fearing monsters or you just feel afraid of everything, I really think it's because you can't see anything and can't tell what's coming out.

People fear the unknown. Since it is harder to see at night, there is more "unknown-ness".
Frankly, I love the night. Sometimes I just sit outside (at night) and just stare at the sky...until the sprinkers come on. |

Man, the night is so great... my old house used to have a balcony that looked out into the backyard and street. My backyard had tons of trees that would attract raccoons and squirrels and such. During the summer at night (I live in washington) it would be real cool but not shivering cold outside. I'd set up a beach chair and listen to music and think about stuff all night. I wish I had a mosquitoe net though. I hate mosquitoe bites, they are so irrating. But yeah, I don't have much of a problem with "darkness" at all, maybe 'cause I spent so much time out there.

Yes people fear the night because they are less aware of the things around you.
But in board daylight, you can see more and know everything that is going on around you. |

I personally prefer night over day.. But total and complete darkness is rather unnerving. Or maybe that's just my paranoia. >.>

Skating or rolling at night is a rush, especially when it's hot and humid out. Less traffic, less people to get in your way.
The night is more dangerous because that is when more violent crime occurs. It's easier to get away with things when your victim can't see you. |

Hellooooo....I'm suprised that Jewpin didn't even figure this one out...It's completely instinctual. Back in the good ol days of our club toting mammoth eating relatives all the large predators would hunt at night, because all the large predators were big cats (well for the most part). So back all those eons ago it was scarred into the human psyche that the night is dangerous and the day is safe.
