i PMed you with what tool i'm using. if you check it out, you'll see it SHOULD work perfectly for this. Tass is not having a fun time with this... expect a somewhat-rantish PM when I finish going through each of the 11.
let me reiterate that this is quite a hard challenge.

the thing is, I derived my answer from only two of the 11. Rest was logical deduction based on the confines of the problem.

i got it using only brainpower, took me about an hour 15 minutes (good thing to do rather than paying attention in school)
quite a tough puzzle. a friend of mine looked at it, tried to do the first one, and gave up 5 seconds later lol. |

I'm finding it quite interesting that you'll quote me the full list of "possible" answers from your program, and an alternate program I use seems to provide a number more. I don't know if it is just a more robust dictionary or what.
Also, it is quite possible that one of the reasons this is proving difficult is that each and every one of the problems was created from scratch by me, and not using any pre-existing wordlists or anything. However, in my estimation anyway, the most obscure word in the entire puzzle is "recurve" (hey look, a hint for everyone) and pretty much everything else seems to me to be a pretty typical word that sees at least some common use. Edit: Oh also, updated. |

I am definitly missing something here...what's stopping you from potentially being able to withdraw an unlimited amount of buckazoids?

Um...the question asks you, what is the largest amount that you CANNOT withdraw. As in: There are only 11 and 23 buckazoid coins, so since you can't get change, there is physically no way to withdraw say, 8 buckazoids, and there is physically no way to withdraw 35 buckazoids, so you're looking to find the -largest- number of buckazoids that it is impossible to generate using only 11 and 23 buckazoid coins.

Basically: Since I know you're away from your computer on official FFR business, you get the justified "Can't post screenies" exception that means I'll accept replays. |
