I'm trying to think of as many benefits of critical thinking as possible. What I've come up so far is below. Please add your own.
Critical thinking helps you keep up with an accelerating world. Critical thinking helps you collaborate with others. Critical thinking enhances creative thinking. (creative thinking generates new idea, critical thinking selects what is relevant and useful) Critical thinking lets you examine yourself. Critical thinking helps you form true beliefs. Critical thinking encourages open-mindedness. Critical thinking enables skilled discussion. Critical thinking enables skilled presentation. Critical thinking conquers worry. Critical thinking awakens your spirituality. Critical thinking empowers self-confidence and self-respect. Critical thinking helps you to be persuasive. Critical thinking helps you focus on important issues. |

Er...interesting list, but the thread itself isn't actually indicative of critical thinking, forwards no real discussion, and is otherwise (if ironically self-referentially) not appropriate for the CT forum.

Aside from the fact that those are entirely subjective and baseless, I find them to be completely incorrect, and find it hilarious that you post a Chit Chat thread in CT for no apparent reason.

I left this thread here because it certainly didn't belong elsewhere. Even if it's not discussing anything specific, I don't mind letting CT-related threads stay here.
However, upon further reflection, this is just a "listing" thread, so there's really no reason for it to stay open. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |
