You two are turning topics into petty fights. Stop it.

If you really feel a person is a true friend, you don't tell them, because you don't want to put them in an awkward position. (Yes it happened to me, but I was the friend in the middle.) You can always say something to ask them about their true feelings, but you never pressure them into choosing between you and a girlfriend. That means you aren't their true friend.
