I'm not even going to watch that just because you're such a ... I would call you something inappropriate, but you're not worth a warning.

So you support hacking?
The video is not mine... I found it, from this thread, posted by a much more "respectable" person. Like that word even means **** anymore. You all sold-out. |

Ummm, I think you should read a few pages back, I never said they hacked. What makes you think that?\
Nothing in my previous post related to that vodeo. I just thought it was a cool vid from a while back. Last edited by MagicCarpetRide; 05-23-2007 at 09:55 PM.. |

Technically one of the people in that video has a hacker account. But he's good with it and doesn't flood the economy with mesos or take nice training spots during peak hours.
And that's really the only bad things that hackers do that are worth getting angry about.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

MCR, it's not about if I support hacking. It's about being pro-life if you want to get into that.
Telling someone to go die because you don't like something that they do ... well, just go re-read some of those people's responses. Dang ... I don't mean to bring up the topic again. I can't find a clean avg+ codar ... =( |

... um ... just shut up and drop it.
So what should I do? Max Dragon, then go into Doom, or do Doom, then Dragon (I've already put a few points into it), or what? |

Doom for fun. Dragon if you want to go for boss runs and such.

Nexon and their nonsense. Many people can interrupt the logs and stop them from being sent. Is it legal? Well no, but will Nexon ever take action? Probably not. They never have, and thousands know how to do it.
All they're doing is getting rid of the stupid hackers. That's what they've always been doing. To make that simple for everyone, they're wasting their time until they think of a real solution, or just stalling it until they do. Last edited by ToshX; 05-24-2007 at 03:09 AM.. |

I wouldn't mind if they only banned stupid hackers. The smart ones don't make a nuisance of themselves.

Yeah, Tibs is right. We're talking about the difference between a smart hacker who makes no more of an impact on the ecnomy and rankings than any average legit, just in a shorter time, and a leecher who ruins the economy and has a serious adverse effect on the community. The "hackers" that everyone really hates are the stupid leechers. The ones who use guides to "hack". Those are the ones who cause the most problems. Farming, vacking mobs into afks, etc. etc.
I'd like for all hacking to be gone, but realistically, that's basically impossible. Getting rid of the leechers is more than satisfactory. And if all hack detection is SERVERSIDE like that post there says this is, the only way to beat it would be REAL hacking, which is not only illegal, but if they were to hack the server so that they don't get caught, they might as well hack the server and change their level manually instead of cheating to get more exp. Or for that matter, they should hack a bank server and give themself 20 million dollars. ps Promises Delivered? I'll try to be optimistic, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was just as full of crap as it was months ago. pps Quote:

"Holding maps" as in smuggle PQs?

No as in a person hogging Zakum's altar so that other groups can't get in.
Or possibly sitting in a map and not killing and telling anyone who comes in to leave so that the map can be saved for someone else who will come in later for grinding, probably during 2x. And if Nexon knows what they're doing, they'll fix the bug that allows for smuggling in PQs. Well, the problem, isn't the smuggling, it's the bringing them back in. The bug is that it should remove the items from EVERY party member's inventory, but at present it only clears the items out of the leader's. I don't see why people think it's alright to abuse bugs and forced lag though. If I was a GM, I'd probably surf oPQ channels and ban anyone who smuggles in items.
