Dangit Tosh, you don't play to see who can do the highest damage. You play to use the character you think is going to be fun. If you think beating on an enemy close-range is fun, Bandit / Warrior. If you like to snipe, Assassin or Archer. If you like magic, magician.
If everybody played for highest damage, NOBODY would be a Cleric! At level 60+, I still have not topped 1,600 damage with Heal on a single enemy. Claw does about 1,300 damage max. At level 60, Assassins can do 1,500 x 2 with Lucky 7 EASILY. Bandits can do 400 x 6 with Savage Blow EASILY. Warriors are hitting for 2,500 damage with Power Strike EASILY, then there's Final Attack after most of those! Archers can dish out 1,500 x 2 with Double Shot EASILY. Fire Wizards are hitting 2,500 each arrow, Lightning is dealing 800 each hit. Ice manages 2,000+, Poison nails 500 per second. And I'm using Magic Claw to hit 500 x 2 on average. Heal does anywhere from 300 to 1,500 damage when I use it on a single enemy and does roughly 6-800 each on 5 targets. Damage is not the reason you make a class. It's the fun factor. Personally, I think Assassins are more fun than Bandits because throwing stars is really cool. However, Lucky 7 is all you do for the rest of your Assassin life. ~Squeek |

My Assassin is a LOT of fun now. I went this route, because I'm training on fire boars and have a lvl 30 claw instead of a meba:
1 mastery 2 mastery 1 critical 3 haste 3 haste 1 haste 2 mastery (5) 3 booster 3 booster (6) 3 haste (10) 3 critical (4) Now I'm maxing critical, then maxing haste, with a drain thrown in there sometime maybe. It's so nice and SO much fun hopping around, raping fire boars left and right and practicing my jump, spin, throw (repeat) skills. I can't live without haste. |

I'm having difficulties with my character... Anyways... do you get 500 exp each time you complete an Exchange Quest? I was told by my friend you do. Oh well, what ever. I could possibly hit lvl 36 tonight if I played it nonstop for 2 hours =\. I only need like 30%. So ya, is the 500 exp for the Exchange Quest true?

Yes. You exchange 100 of an enemy's drop for 500 exp and one of 6 items.

While the primary factor of level is time, it's also the intelligence to know how to make the most of your time. AKA, leveling at the right place with the right potion use and strategies on how to maximize spawnrates.
For example, being a Cleric doesn't just mean I hold down the Heal key and watch undeads die...again. At Zombies, I need to go from end to end of a large map and collect all the Zombies with single hits. That takes forever walking, so I teleport again and again. Once I've made them all follow me, I start Healbombing sets of 5 while the others join in. It takes some time to perfect a technique usable for efficient leveling, but once you've got it, you're set. ~Squeek |
