Frst off before you read on i know im not the only one that thinks this, but someone needs to be brutally honest. If you opinion about me chages to a heartless bastard then so be it, but this has to be said

The majority of us don't want to hear you wanting to commit suicide.

It might make you feel better to talk to someone, but I really don't need a life story about your problems. We all have our own problems.

If you're thinking about commiting suicide, talk to someone that can help you. Parents, teachers, good friend, not almost complete strangers though. We can't do anything except say 'sorry you hurt inside' in a half assed half hearted way. thats not going to help you get over things.

Also, no one likes hearing about death, unless you're one of those strange people.

Finally i don't care how heartless this makes me look. I know a majority of you are thinking the same thing when you read some of these posts and i know that you want to say it also, but out of respect you don't. I didn;t want to either, but ive got my own problems to deal with and i don't need to know that someones thinking of killing themself when i've got my own life to worry about.

I have to agree Don'tcareaboutmyid. Although the chit chat forum is for anything, there are a few things that aren't allowed such as: Flame Wars and Porn. Suicide should be added to that list.

hm, i disagree. if its a serious plea about suicide, i'm much rather here about it and give it a shot at convincing the person not to do it. granted, a majority of the topics on this (well, i've seen two) are from kids that are 14 that either dont have the balls to do it or are just looking for someone to give them sympathy, but on the off chance that someone is truthfully considering suicide i'd much rather them talk to the couple of us that actually care rather than go and kill themselves because they didnt talk to anyone about it and feel unloved or whatever. just my two cents.

I agree, Falcon, but I take it a step further: even if they are only looking for sympathy, they clearly are in a bad way mentally and/or emotionally to resort to that, and could very likely benefit from a sympathetic ear. Ideally, they wouldn't need to stoop to suicide threats to get help, but a lot of people can be very callous and dismiss pleas for help, especially if the one making the plea is a teenager. (I rarely post here put this thread struck a nerve.)

Here's the thing. Generally, if somebodys' gonna do it, I mean actually do it, they don't tell anyone. Or if they do, they tell their closest friends. Anything posted on a forum is just a plea for help, they just want 200 people to say "No! Don't do it! We love you!" They may be depressed, but hell, so am I. Don't see me spewing it all over.

I agree. My thoughts on suicide, is that suicide is for the weak. Life is a war, and suicide is only an easy way out.

Sadly, I recently had a friend overdose. He lived, thankfully, but he's not the same person he was before. No one saw it comming. He seemed pretty happy before.
He keeps talking about how he loves me, and he did it because I was already with someone. That makes me feel like sh!t.
I've told him that I don't love him in the same way, and he doesn't seem to respect that or move on.
He's 17, and I am 14, but I swear.... I thought he was more mature than this. I'M more mature than that.

It really ticks me off when people just go "Oh, boohoo, the person I have a crush on already has a boyfriend, so I have no reason to live anymore." Dude. There's more women in the world than me!

Suicide pisses me off. It's only an easy way out of life.

heres the thing guys (and girls). i agree with you on a majority of these points. suicide is stupid. it is shallow. it is the easy way out. but nevertheless, people still do it. we dont because we have a good grasp on reality and how bad things can be sometimes, but some do. and in those cases, i still say that we should try to help those people the best we can. though we think its a stupid and cop-out thing to do, there's still a life at stake in some, if not most, cases. we may not understand it, but we have to try to the best we can and be compassionate when a person comes to us with a genuine problem. thats what a community does.

Idiot: My mom, sister, brother, dad, grandma, granpa died.. my dog jsut got hit by a truck.. my cat was eatten by a squirrel.. my first born child was taken by rumpelstiltskin.. and I just lost all money in stocks..
Me:... wow.. you went through some shit... so why are you killing yourself?
Idiot: Cause i got nothing to live for..

well that really goes back to religious beliefs... which is all theory in itself.. I dont have a religious belief.. I used to believe in evolution.. but that just explains what happened to our planet and life.. nothing explains the origins of the universe.. big bang theory only describes space... what was before the big bang.. how did that stuff come to be.. nothing has all the answers.. so im jsut in a confused state right now..

No.. its not a solution... suicide is the cheat sheet to life... your whole life is based on that you will die.. killing yourself just lets you figure out the answer to the question of life, that question being.. "how am i going to die?"..

I think some of y'all don't understand what it's like to really be at the point to want to kill yourself.

To this day, I will and cannot sit by as anyone, whether I even like them or not, contemplates in all honestly suicide. I had seen lots of other people go through the same feelings I had while I was going through shit myself, and I had always told myself that I could help them if I finally had that friend I'd searched my life for.

Now, I have some.

And now I can help.

I don't want anyone else to have to wait as long as I did, pleaing day in and day out for someone to give a flying fuck. No one deserves that hell, even me.
(And anyone that really knows me know I still suffer a severe lack of self-esteem, so that last statement would have some meaning to it.)

So, you know what? Maybe it's not a good idea to make a general thread about it, because the majority of the other people that have posted so far will just bring you down further. Come to the caring ones through PMs or something if you're really serious.

You can't say that to me.. my brother in middle school tried to kill himself.. it didn't work.. it doesn't get any closer to home than your own family.. And now.. he's more strong willed against it than I am.. People who say that you don't know what they have been through is a crock of shit.. everyone basically goes through the same thing in there life..

Elementry school: Got some friends...not real friends just people you play with..
Middle school: You get made fun of constatly.. Worst years of most peoples lifes come from middle school
High school 9 - 10: people start to mature, and start not caring about what you look like, and more about how you act..
" " 11 - 12: Nobody cares.. everyone is just trying to get out of school....

Then adult life... 1)Get a job.. do something.. your problems are solved.. 2)get a cheap ass apartment.. 3)work the measly job you have.. 4)work your way up the ranks.. 5)get promoted... 5)make more money.. 6)stay in shitty apartment until you are 100% sure you can move into a mediocre apartment and not be in debt forever.. follow steps 4 - 6 and change mediocre to any other fancy word you like... then MAYBE... 7) find a girl... 8)get maried... 9) have kids (ONLY IF YOU CAN AFFORD THEM)...10) die... this is the regular life for anyone..

if you completed step 9.. congratulations.. you just populated the world with more people that have to go through the same shit you did..

Now.. EXCEPTIONS..
1)Child abuse- im not talking about that weak shit kids now a days call getting abused, like your mom smacked you for calling her a whore... thats not abuse.. yuor dad gives you a black eye on purpose is abuse.. getting knocked out while taking a beating and the parent continues to beat you is abuse.. Getting hit with foreign objects (IE. Broom, shoes, belts, switches (thin branches off bushes that have had all there limbs and leaves wiped off to make it go through the air so fast you can hear it breaking through the wind), etc... ) does not count as abuse, all the items on the list i have been beaten with atleast once in my life, UNLESS the parent over uses these items...

Thoughts: Even with child abuse and even with an Immature mind the worst thing you could do is kill yourself.. with all those numbers out there now-a-days and the kid having to go to school.. he could just as easily tell someone about the problem and have it solved within a 24 hour period.. So suicide doesn't work in that situation..

2)Sexual abuse: mostly for young girls.. but sometimes applies to boys.. if your being sexually abused, do the same thing for regular abuse.. jsut tell a teacher at school.. problem solved.. the mental scars should heal.. and if they don't.. you got problems.. girls who grow up to hate guys because of a sexual abuse thing when they were like 12 is dumb.. the other guys aren't your dad, your not being made to do anything, and if you had that problem when you were young and you didn't want it to happen again, you should think about hulking up/ learning some type of martial arts.. so you could just flew someone if they tried... Don't let a child hood experience be a controlling factor for the rest of your life.. it happened in the chold hood.. leave it there..

What about lifetime improsonment? Sure, it's only 25 years on good behaviour and you can apply for parole. But what if you knew that for every day of those 25 years you'd get beaten or raped (ah!kinky jail bum sex GROSS). I'd sure as hell kill myself. And if you don't submit to it, the others will kill you. A guy didn't want to have anal sex with other men, so they broke off a broom handle, shoved the pointy end up the guys ass and killed him, went through his intestines and everything.

Or what if you have the death penalty? Some people decide to kill themselves because they're going to die anyways, why not?

Do something about it.. they try to do something to you start whoopin that ass.. they beat you up.. rape you.. next day.. you do it again.. eventually you will break enough noses/jaws for them to not want to rape you anymore.. and if they kill you, you die... now they have to sit in jail forever with no chance for parole.. you got the last laugh.. AND you didn't go out like a punk..

Idiots.. they miss out on the whole last meal thing.. just take your last meal, get leathal injection and die peacfully.. simple.. if your going to die.. might as well do it on a full stomach that way.. right before they kill you, you can shit yourself and know that someone has to clean it up.. and you get the last laugh again..
