Default So I took my Driving Test Again....

And i passed with ease. Only 3 minor errors and the instructor said I did well with a few minor exceptions. No more stress for me this summer

I had 22 errors for not looking both ways before I crossed an intersection.

Congrats, only 3 errors is pretty good.

Well done dude. Driving is such a convenience, until your tyres need replacing, you find out how far petrol will really get you, the tax comes around and you need an MOT. Then you start thinking holy sh*t driving is expensive.

I just took my liscence test today. I had an easy instructor because the regular guy Devlin wasn't there. He's supposed to be harder...

That's just sad. How do you not look both ways before you go into an intersection?

Nice job on passing the driver's test. Just don't act like an idiot and race all your friends that have their license already.

lol u just sed "petrol"

Anyway, I'm gonna have to do a road test pretty soon. I did the written thing already. ****ing person checking it was retarded. I got a question marked wrong because I said that a person shouldn't drive at all if they've had a few drinks and the person checking it said it should have been the answer that said you should drive 10-15 miles per hour below the speed limit if you've had a few drinks. I would have made a big deal out of it, but I passed anyway, so I really didn't care.

But yeah, I assume it must be pretty easy. Every retard I know has their license already so it must not be too difficult to pass.

oh and by the way:

Gas and tires are a joke expenses-wise. I don't know what the hell a MOT is. I'm more worried about insurance, which for some stupid-ass reason is required to drive in MI.

What's wrong with not looking? The light is green, why should I have to look? The only time I do go out of my way to look is at night when it is passed 1 o'clock.

dunlop's right, dude. You need to ALWAYS look both ways, behind you, and everywhere you can just to make sure that there's not some idiot running the red light or doing something stupid.

Let's put it this way: if you were at a stop sign and the cross street was one way going right, would you just look to the left and then, were there no cars coming, just go? If so, you'd be just like a guy in Waco who killed a kid who was crossing the street by running him over.

I look when I am stopping at stop signs, but not at intersections with traffic lights. When it's green, I go. It's probably more dangerous to take your eyes off of what is in front of you. What the person in front of you slammed on his brakes really fast to turn into a plaza and you are busy lookin both ways to make sure that it's safe to go? I know it's improbable, but yeah.

Uh, if you're looking both ways to see if it's safe to go then you're not going, and thus in no danger of being hit. Also, responsible driving teaches you to give yourself plenty of room between you and the person in front of you. Since checking both your left and your right takes about a half of one second, you should be safe.

But, not to nitpick, you could make that argument for ever taking your eyes off the road in front of you, and you'd thus be arguing for TERRIBLE driving safety practices.

It's suggested that you check your mirrors every five or so seconds. Why? Because, as you're taught in Driver's Ed, you are responsible for knowing what's going on in the entire environment around you, not just directly in front of you. In front is no more important than in back or on your sides.

I'm sort of a crazy driver, so I really shouldn't be arguing, since I'm probably wrong, heh. And I mean when the light is green and you are already going 50 mph, not when you are stopped at the light and it just turns green.
