You're all idiots. Do you really think a cop can't tell when somebody is speeding? Especially doing at least 20 miles over in a slow area?

If the case gets dropped, it'll be because you dragged his ass into court and he doesn't want to bother. Throw all the fancy math equations you want; none of it will hold up in court nor will the judge give two ****s about what you have to say when he's got a cop to testify against you.

Any idiot can tell the difference between the average speed of a bicyclist and a car on a highway.

Good luck with your court case regardless.

you should've just paid a fine. its not that much unless you were speeding through a school zone or something.

The only time I've ever heard of someone winning a speeding ticket when they were in court was some kid who's dad was a police chief (in another district) came in to support him. If this cop has a good record then you have no chance.

Bleh, how come people speed, I find it extremely stressful to speed or be around people who are speeding.

Well, it was in a 25 mph zone... if I were the judge, I wouldn't let you off. Especially because you're only 18.

1. They're going to laugh in your face if you walk in there with a math equation. Chances are they'll either drop it or the DA will work out a deal with you to pay a certain amount of money to drop the ticket with 0 points.
2. If you really want me to figure this out I will, PM me.

If you're going 65 in a 25, and your argument is you were only going 45, you're not going to win.

Why not just drive according to the law? It's the one and only rule they havn't completely set out on the world that makes everyone pissed off.

Hahahahahahaha. Smoooooth. And I'm hoping you don't get a reduction. You deserve the fine for such excessive speeding.

Who suggested they can't tell the difference? It's the fact that it wouldn't hold up in a court case anywhere near as well as a radar gun would that we're all talking about. Sure, the cop might be able to tell that you're speeding, but it isn't like he is going to judge your speed precisely.

I was in traffic court last week and the DA made a deal with every single person who got points (even people who got up to 5 from one ticket) that if they paid $430 they could have the ticket and points dropped. The town doesn't make any money if you just pay the ticket and then pay your INSURANCE company whatever fees are instituted from your points. Therefore, they try to cut a deal with you so the town can make some money. Don't even worry about it, just go to court and try to strike a deal with them.

Ummm...I don't think she's going to ask the judge to make a deal with her. It doesn't really work that way. If the judge wants to make a deal, then she'll have a chance, but it doesn't work the other way.

By the way, I do wish you good luck with this.

well thanks to you people who are actually supporting me on this, this is my very first ticket, and i havent been speeding ever since i got the ticket, nor do i plan to, and ya stlunatic, i dont think that the judge is going to stike up a deal with me, i live in a pretty big city, so i highly doubt hes going to make a deal with the 113402556546 people that show up with tickets lol

I guess you'll have to forgive the rest of us who don't think it was a great idea to do 40 over the speedlimit.

dont i get like a Nobel prize for breaking the speed of light?

save yourself the hassle and pay the ticket.

This is a handwritten confession and this will hold up in court.

And remember for next time: you have the right to remain silent.

YOu don't have to answer a number when they ask do you know how fast you were going.

confidently exclaim yes I know how fast I was going, or I was going the speed limit when you pulled me over
