I'd like to differ actually. When I started 2005, I stopped for 6 months then came back to FFR. After a couple of months I stopped again for a good 2 months and got alot better. Now I am planning to stop or at least play less, that way I can relax my arms a bit. They hurt when I play too much. <.<;

No. This game is for online use only. If you want to download something like FFR, download stepmania (www.stepmania.com).

Practice is the key to FFR. I remember how hard Very Easy songs were hard for me at first, now I can AAA them and I can FC Very Challenging songs.

Is anyone here playing on a mac? Not to make any mac fans mad, but the buttons are super sticky; I can barely press them in time.
Anyone know how to get over that? |

Well, there it goes, my first post
![]() I started FFR a few weeks ago, when I came back from a trip to Boston where I had run into an arcade place and had discovered DDR. I could instantly do very easy songs, but it took me some days to get to standard difficulty songs. My method was 1-handing with index on left, middle on up/down and 4th finger on right. I soon found out spread made things much easier (use both index and middle fingers) and after some practice I could easily FC tricky levels, most difficult levels and even some very difficult songs (I was a bit shocked when I found out that most skilled players dont bother to play tricky songs anymore, so after some satisfying rank 300-500 scores on those levels I was stunned by rank 3000-8000 scores on very difficult songs ). However, after quick progress in the first few weeks, I now find myself stuck at very difficult songs. Ive been trying to fathom those 16th streams with alternated doubles for some weeks now and I just don't get them On songs like Youkosol Himitsu no suzu, Sepia and Brightone I get only 40-50% of the top score, because I can't keep up with the extended streams (And the double streams of Tribal Revival make me wanna shoot myself lol). I get the feeling that my spread finger method isnt ideal for streams where fixed doubles are alternated with sixteenth single notes, or for any long streams in general. But then again, maybe Im just too slow and inexperienced. Ive tried speedmods and screencuts, but aside from a x1.25 or x1.5 mod on messy levels, or to be better able to AAA easy levels, it doesnt really work for me. Anyone can give me advice on how best to proceed? How can I best tackle those darned streams Any advice is appreciated.Calli
