The console is just over half a year old. Chill.

We already have the new WarioWare, Zelda, and Paper Mario franchise games. Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 are coming out this summer, and Brawl is set to hit by the end of the year. There are a few new franchises still in the works.

Nobody could develop for the console until the hardware was finalized due to how unique it was, so games won't start flooding the market until around the holiday season.

While I would agree with that, it still doesn't excuse Nintendo from putting out something to keep Wii people busy until the games come in. Other than what Nintendo is working on, what third-party company has produced a game that has sold well thus far?

I don't think there is.

How did Trauma Center and Rayman sell? I know they were both damn good, and Rayman apparently sold enough to warrant a Raving Rabbids 2.

Define "well".

Anyway, there are 7 games that have gone platinum in sales ( > 1m). Yes, only two of them are third-party developers. Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids have both sold over a million copies each.

Did you expect any less? Nintendo makes solid games. That is all.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ideo_games#Wii

This list is way outdated as WarioWare and Super Paper Mario are both well over 1 million at this point. I use VGCharts for my real numbers.

http://www.vgcharts.org/

Oh, PS, unlike PS3 where you have to sell 500,000+ copies of your game to generate profit, Wii games need less than half of that, so pretty much every game that you can name off the top of your head that is out for Wii probably has sold enough to turn a profit.

To me, that is a good definition of "selling well".

Hrmm....

They just confirmed that Metroid Prime won't have online multiplayer. Just single-console multiplayer.

ps - http://www.usatoday.com/tech/gaming/...i-demand_N.htm

Wii is still selling out.

ps I hardly touch my wii these days... man it's tough competing with Guitar Hero and Super Smash Bros Melee (which... technically speaking, I do play on the Wii). Also, I lost my remote and I can't turn on my TV anymore.

Whoa dude. New Trauma Center announced.

1) Co-operative gameplay. Two people can operate at once.

2) Online leaderboards. To brag about scores with other people.

Quote:
Atlus USA is proud to announce Trauma Center: New Blood for the Wii, a new entry in the award-winning Trauma Center series!

Keep your hands steady and your mind focused – this time around there’s a lot more on the line. Every cut of the scalpel, every pinch of the forceps, each and every second that ticks by is of the absolute greatest importance. If you think it's too much to handle alone, invite a friend to assist with the operation and work together to save patients from flat-lining. The adrenaline is pumping, lives are at stake, and only you can save the day. Have you got what it takes?

Trauma Center: New Blood has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

About Trauma Center: New Blood:
At a remote hospital in Alaska, Dr. Markus Vaughn quietly toils, a surgeon who has forsaken the politics and power struggles of his former ward. He is content to use the power he has discovered within himself, the Healing Touch, to positively affect the lives of those in need. His partner is Valerie Blaylock, a promising young doctor eager to unlock her own dormant abilities. When the facility unexpectedly closes, they are forced to return to Concordia Medical Institute, where politics are more important than patient’s lives, and doctors more concerned with image than their ministration. There they are recruited into the government organization Caduceus, where they will learn of a conspiracy with dire ramifications, and their lives will be changed forever!

Key Features:
•Two Player Cooperative Play! For the first time in the series, work with a friend to race against the clock and save lives…success will require teamwork and communication – Every second counts!
•All-New Story, Characters, and Operations! Depend on a brand new medical team for support and advice as you tackle new emergencies.
•Fully Voiced Dialogue! Characters will come to life as never before as they speak to you during operations and story cutscenes.
•Full 480p and 16x9 Widescreen Support!
•Online Score Ranking System!

DECEMBER 3RD = Super Smash Bros Brawl

Wii Zapper looks REALLY FUN!

Wii Wheel coming with Mario Kart, which will come out first quarter of next year. And online.

Another Mii channel to share your Miis worldwide and vote on best. Competitions too.

NOVEMBER 12TH = Super Mario Galaxy

lol wtf @ Wii Fit... xD Miyamoto is in charge of it. Over 40 activities, though the ones I've seen were easy. Uses the Wii Balance Board, which could be put into use in future games. It measures weight and balance (and it's wireless of course). Sucks it uses BMI for measurement.

you know i have been a fan of nintendo and sony since loong time, more of nintendo though, in fact the only reason i bought a ps1 and a ps2 was for square-enix games, and i don't know if you noticed but i didn't saw anything new of FFXIII, (well not in G4TV) also i agree with the fact that the ps3 and XBOX360 are having TOO MANY SHOOTERS, in fact all the exclusives are shooters, i like some shooters (metroid prime, resident evil 4, killzone) but still nintendo always brings some kind of balance, people say nintendo is childish, well yes they are childish but also they have M games, because is not fair for the little kids (pointing at microsoft wich the few games that are for kids, are movie based)

also i don't belive in good graphics, there are lots and lots of games that are HORRIBLE but still with the greatest graphics (devil may cry 2, movie based games, final fantasy dirge of cerberus) and what matters on a game is GAMEPLAY THAT'S WHY IS CALLED GAME, new generation means something, sony and microsoft are doing the exact same thing than the last generation, making consoles with better graphics.

by the way, the new psp model is lighter, has more battery and it comes in different colors, ummmmmmm doesn't sound familiar? oh yeah i think i heard that from the DS LITE, also when the nintendo revealed the wii remote, sony misteriously changed the control of the ps3 for one with motion controls too, and when the mii's were presented, sony had created something similar, ummm this makes me wonder it is a coincidence?

Why do people speak of graphics and gameplay as though they were mutually exclusive?

Also, none of what you said is nothing a ****load of people have already said before. These arguments have been made before, we don't need to hear them again,.

well is a forum, i can give my opinion too, also yes they are mutually exclusive, since the ps3 and the 360 can't have the same gameplay lvl as the wii, and the wii can'y have the same lvl of grahpics as the other ones.

ummm nintendo media show wasn't really good after all it was all about how much money they got, still you got to admit even if nintendo is not making many hardcore games they still give my mom an excuse to buy me games XD, she got exited with wii fit jajaja, and hey mario kart for wii is good news
