still it would take long time to fill 55GB, remember how long were final fantasy XII and twilight princess in development? how much time do developers need to fill 55GB?

PS3 is picking up speed .. especially after E3
$500 for 60 gig and $600 for 80 gig .. for what the ps3 is, its a great price personally i like their games, the top for me is MGS4 .. the only thing that Wii has that i have a bit interest in is Super Smash Brothers Brawl .. which i can just play at a friends house so w/e |

Are you suggesting that developers, prior to E3, had completely given up on the PS3?
Sony has some of the best 3rd party support out of any of the consoles. You, my friend, are absurd. |

well yes is true haven't you noticed the number of games that once were playstation exclusives but now they are not? katamary, devil may cry, dragon quest, and some rumors of final fantasy. those are only examples i know there's more of them

Face it, Sony's strength has been dwindling since the plague of failing PS2s. Their decision to go with Blu-ray for "future-proofing", saying it will last at least two extra generations, is an absurd musing. With what the Wii has done as far as taking chances and shattering the stereotypical view of gaming has proven that the only direction now is up. What if Sony has to drop their future-proofing plans and redesign or redevelop just to keep up with the industry? Look to Sega for example.
Blu-ray is maybe a good decision one or two generations from now, but like HD and DVD was five and ten years ago, it's way too much money to have any value right now. It's throwing away money right now.

well the problem right now is not only the console but the games, sony is losing exclusives and many other types of games. and also the wii is having new genres that are can only exist in there. and the XBOX well i think they are getting advantage of all this situation

Do you not understand how exclusive titles work? It doesn't really have much to do with the quality of the console; it has to do with how much money and what contractual obligations 3rd party developers are involved in with each gaming company. The main reason Sony is losing exclusives is because they are choosing so. They realize that X-box and Wii have the finanical ability to compete for competitive contracts with 3rd party developers, and also realize that people will buy the console with or without exclusives. The mainstream gaming population will buy the PS3 regardless of how many exclusives they have, so why would Sony want to spend the extra millions and millions of dollars it costs to obtain exclusive rights when they could save a lot of money and still pull in a relatively similat profit?

well IS BUSSINESS it's the truth people do games to earn money and they do good games so gamers like them. they want to expand their products because 2 of the 3 next gen consoles are doing well, and some want to support the ps3 so put it in a higher place

i don't give a damn thing about what the reviews say, the game may be short but heavenly sword is great, for me it is one of "the kind of game that would make you buy a ps3" although i'm not interested in warhawk or tekken, there is a very good lineup for the ps3, it really changed my mind
