Super Mario Kart
Skies of Arcadia: Legends Halo PSO Tekken Tag Tournament And since the title of the thread mentions nothing about video games (ignoring, of course, the forum name), my favorite board games: Puerto Rico Gang of Four Queen's Necklace Ticket To Ride Goa Castle Risk Pirate's Cove Princes of Florence Carcassonne, Inns and Cathedrals Saint Petersburg --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

agrees.. not agreez..
Anyway.. The best game of all time is Contra For the 8-bit Nintendo. All the levels are basically the same. Run right(except stages 3 and 6(6 might no be right), jump on some ledges, shoot are building or boss at the end. The Music is awesome, and the graphics are a Van Gogh compared to the other titles released at that time. The story line is solid. No introductory plot needed for this game, it just throws you right into the action. Why are you killing?, Where are you at?, all pointless questions that side track you from the main objective. Which is obviously to go right. In all seriousness this game is one of my favorites along with: Pro Wrestling Super C Wolfenstein (the original) Hugos House of Horrors Mario Mike Tysons Punch-Out Gran Turismo (2-4) Prince of Persia (the original and The Sands of Time) Halo 1&2 Mario Kart Golden Eye (Just the Multiplayer, I never played Missions) Perfect Dark (^--DITO--^) --Note to Everyone-- Find me a favorite RPG, I just noticed I didn't have one.

Story wise, I think Legend of Dragoon kicks Xenogears ass IMHO.

And actually, the FMV and Gear graphics were quite good. The only thing that had a plot close to its calibur is Evangenlion...which was made by the same people...XD I have not watched it though.

Legend of Dragoon has an extremely bad plot ripped off from FF7. Wow. How can you even think that it's better?

Battle is the same as in the original Risk, but troop movement is a bit different, as there is no non-combat movement. So, if you have an entire army holed up in a province surrounded by provinces you also control, they can't move. The big difference is the character cards. You have at least three cards at the beginning of each turn, and each character does something different: Reinforcements: Just like turning in a set of three in Risk Spy: Look at an opponent's hand and choose a card that he must discard. Also prevents against other spies. Diplomat: Play against one opponent. You and that opponent cannot attack each other until the end of his next turn. General: Add one to your highest die roll for each roll this turn (General dies when your high die roll + 1 is tied or beaten by the defender) Marshall: Just like the General, but for defense. Admiral: Allows you to take any number of troops in a coastal territory and sail them to any other coastal territory and attack (Remember, the Atlantic and Mediterranean are connected, so nearly all coastal provinces are connected to each other). I find this game much more fun than regular Risk, but drawing the right cards at the right times can turn the tide of the game in an instant. The admirals are extremely powerful, too. That said, the game has some flaws, but I find it much more interesting than the regular version. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/2557 --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

My game would have to be Mario Brothers for the original Nintendo system. I can sit there and play for hours, when I don't play DDR or FFR.

But I have more than one favorite video game.. XD
Besides DDR, I like most RPGs by Squaresoft/Square-Enix. I also love Gitaroo Man. And I just love the LUNAR series. ^^ |

Why doesnt ANYONE mention Perfect Dark. If your an oldschool gamer like me, then I suggest that SMB was the best game ever. Oh how I LOVED nintendo. Im probably the last generation of Oldschool Gamers. I even have a 32-bit Sega Gen.
