This is actually not a joke.

The internet worked fine for like 8 hours, then it started locking up, sputtering. Thyen it stopped.

I used the same cable and stuff on my old computer (I just switched back), and it works fine on this one. So I think it COULD be either a Virus or a Net Card Problem. Probably the latter.

Specs: 3.0ghz, 1024 RAM, Nvidia Videocard of some sort. Audigy Soundblaser Sound card, I think. Ethernet card.

I am using High0Speed Comcast Cable, and a Linksys LAN system.

Help, please.

I repeat my previous statement: Delete Norton. I just bought a new dell as well and had the exact same problem. Norton Internet Security makes your computer so internet secure that YOU CAN'T EVEN GET ONLINE.

I don't have Norton. I don't have any virus deleting program (other than adaware 6.0...but that doesn't count).

I am really stumped about this one. My dad had the same problem, And he said it basically solved itself after a few days. However the fuck THAT works.

LEGO - I don't know what this bad rap Dell's been getting is all about. I got my computer that should have cost 2,000 for 1300 something. And it owns yours and basically everybody else's here so hard.

Qreepy - can you access the router... or do you have one? When I had the problem it wouldn't even let me access the router, but I could ping.
